Having lived in Calgary all my life, I know what you mean, it's like an entirely different city. Having travelled the world (S.E. Asia extensively), I dont find it to be the recent immigrants to Canada that are the problem. My issue has always been with the "Canadians' living within those areas. I've always believed it has something to do with money and handling of it, income even at 10% less than other parts in Calgary shouldn't be an issue, its how you spend/use it. Ive always thought there seems to be a lot higher "Vice" usage in NE calgary (Gambling/smoking/drinking etc.)

I remember reading something to the effect that N.E. Calgary is the lowest income per household in Calgary, but was still top 10 or 20 in the country? It's not like the N.E. is Compton or Watts people.

Which eventually became a white rooster. Don't forget that Whitehorn also had a good neighbours corner store which turned into B.C. Food store. Bought many a styrofoam airplane from that store!

Well, one of those 7/11s is pretty much right on the border between the communities.
If we include 7/11s that are in the community, or immediately bordering the community, it's now 2-2! (One store counting in both communities)

I didn't count the one across the street on 36th because I was already in University when it was built. And Across 52nd at the fire station was still too far from Annie Gale. So we were stuck with Red Roosters and Little Caesars for lunch.
But At least Whitehorn and temple were better than Castleridge Falconridge pineridge and even Rundle. Rundle is debatable though... Well I don't think so, but the wife thinks Rundle is better, She's wrong, but she has debated it, therefore it is debatable!
