Same with me. I am in that age group that is in the middle of Gen X and Y and when I tell people that are older then me that I do not own a house I get looks that I less then them and get questions of "Do you have bad credit\huge debts" No I just have to desire to own a house. When I tell people younger then me (1-3 years younger) I get for lack of a better word, acceptance. They get that you no longer need a house and multiple cars etc to live a happy life.

There is that generational gap and I think you will see more and more towards the younger end as they get to the age where they should be "buying a house and settling down."
