Nintendo's Next Gen Console - The Wii U?

Everytime I see the name "Wii U", I keep thinking of that Simpson episode where Homer was acting all crazy and making those ambulance noises. Wee-you-wee-you-wee-you.

Saw a video of it from IGN, and surprisingly there doesn't seem to be any latency issues between the controller screen and the television which is a big plus.

I'd like to see what they do with this

For example imagine playing NHL with the lone LCD controller acting as the "head coach" displaying player diagnostics, strategies, making plays, etc and changing everything on the fly while in game - everyone else playing as players with normal controllers. That would be cool as ####

Maybe they'll add 3ds support so you can use 3ds as additional LCD controllers

The haters are gonna hate, and I'm stoked on this. It beats the hell out of "here's the latest graphics, but the same games you've been playing for the past decade"

I agree with the overall sentiment of your post, but I couldn't help feeling that the bolded part is more than a little ironic considering Nintendo's big titles have been around since the early to mid eighties.
