Great game, glad I stayed up until 3:30am. Impressed by Borque tonight, hope he keeps it up. Also, kudos to Cherry for giving props to Darryl, I thought that was very classy.

It really speaks to the resilience of the team and its adaptability that they were able to adjust their game to cold weather, bouncing pucks, constant turnovers etc. and still pull off a kickass win.

I am proud of these Flames.

No Jim, no matter how many times you said it, the Flames were not winning "against the flow of the game". MTL had some shots in the 2nd, but few scoring chances.

Bourque was possessed right from the start. Kipper was awesome.

Fun to watch when the Flames win, but had the Flames lost, or had someone been injured, I'd be completely pi**ed right now.

There's no way important games should be played on ice that crappy and, for me, the spectacle on TV wasn't worth taking a serious hit to your season.

More relief than joy for me.

Yeah baby!!!!!
Huzzah, I just watched the game in Hendon! Not too far from you another Flames fan was up until the wee hours of the morning, good to read.

A complete game and I am now very confident this team will be in the post-season...incredible.

It was kinda funny that they kept talking about MTL until Calgary put 2 more goals in during the second period, then all of a sudden it's the Flames show. But before that, they couldn't stop praising Price.

Anyways, great game, great win. The only thing that worried me was the ice conditions, but CGY seemed to get all the bounces.

Bourque has been looking better in the last handful of games, and today he was a monster.

If he is indeed back and feeling confident, it's only going to make one of the hottest teams in the NHL, that much better.

The Habs were just out muscled on the puck tonight. The Flames won the battles and kept it simple. The Habs were trying to be too cute. Anyway, great game to win - they are in 6th place!!!!

GO FLAMES GO!!!

Needed a few quick modifications from the GDT.

Great game. Definitely worth the late night.

Yup, this iteration of the Flames is really starting to remind me of a certain team from a year that shall remain unsaid (because I'm as sick as anyone of hearing about that team).

This team is far more talented though, and that bodes well if/when they make the playoffs.

Real potential to make noise in the post season IMO.

What a tremendous weekend for the City of Calgary. Just an awesome experience and a big thumbs up to the fans that showed up. You were tremendous.

Also CBC did an outstanding job as well. As much hate as they get, their broadcast today was fantastic.

To the game:

I thought that the Flames adapted to the conditions better than the Habs did. Both goalies were great but especially in the 2nd, where Montreal had all the momentum, Kipper really came up with a bunch of big saves.

Bourque was a beast out there. Hopefully this gives him momentum and he keeps it up cause if he's scoring and playing like that, the Flames are even more deadly.

Overall, I thought this Heritage Classic was absolutely awesome and the atmosphere in McMahon really made me jealous that I wasn't there to experience it.

What an awesome day to be a Calgary Flames fan and a Calgarian!

Sure would be nice if this is a start of a nice hot streak for Bourque, he was the best player on the ice today.

It's funny now that the Flames are doing well how many moves that Darryl Sutter made since last summer look like pure genius. The trade for Babchuk/Kosto was a win, the Tangauy/Jokinen signings look astute, and the Jackman signing is a steal.

Every GM has a shelf life, and I'm ok with him being gone, but at the same time it would be nice to give some kudos to the guy who basically put the majority of this team together. Too bad the team and players didn't play this way when he was still around.

Another huge two points, and a pretty fun event. Great day for Flames fans.
