Izzy just doesn't like the limelight. He likes to sit back and release records and do some shows here and there it seems.

Some of you are talking about them writing new songs and stuff, that is not gonna happen. It is a one time show with the original lineup, they don't have to like eachother to do one show for a big pay day.

And I don't even think you can really call GnR a great rock band. They had one good album, a mediocre double-album, and a god-awful cover album (I don't consider "Lies" to be a full album). Pretty poor body of work to be considered great. I think rock was just in an incredibly crappy state around the time GnR reached their peak, so they look a lot better in contrast. And I say that as a big GnR fan.

Sorry for derailing the thread.

No one has "crappy" taste in music. No one has "excellent" taste in music. There is only "personal" taste in music.

Tool did not reinvent the wheel. There are only twelve steps in an octave. There are thousands of artists worthy of attention.

I would agree. I am a big GNR fan too dating back to junior high. GNR kind of burnt themselves out. They definately could have been bigger had their egos not have got in the way, but that is also what made the band as popular as it was. They were out of control rockstars. I'm just amazed all of them are still alive.

Just so I'm clear, Super Bowl XXVI is the next one. Right?

One of my favourite sayings when something tragic happens: "That's like a Guns and Roses collection without Appetite for Destruction"
