That is just dastardly. I wonder what would happen if gangs / cartels tried to pull this in Russia or somewhere where brutal retaliation isn't out of the question.
I am starting to think that the government of Mexico is losing control. And quickly. This is a very scary and real possibility.
Russia is full of mobs but they know their very existence depends on payouts and staying underground. they would never slay the innocent.

A group of heavily armed men opened fire at a soccer match between two local teams in western Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, killing seven people and wounding two others, according to a municipal police spokesman.
The soccer field is at a community center opened four months ago as part of a program to decrease drug violence in a city that has been racked by violence and killings linked to drug cartels. Police said Monday they had not determined a motive for the shooting.
The Mexican police are either too afraid or are part of these guys to bring them down, This is close to a civil war, if the Mevican government wants a country left maybe they should get on their knees and beg the US military to come smoke these idiots out and kill them all.
Because the US military is great at solving other countries problems.
Security guards kept ambulances from entering a Mexican resort following a deadly explosion last November, preventing emergency workers from rendering aid in the crucial first minutes after the blast, CBC News has learned.
I also heard that Mexico is about to get a visit hardened criminal that refuses to pay C-train tickets.. where will it end..

^ Hmmm, I can't seem to get the math to go around. The title says deaths by province for "2009 & 2010". But the individual province numbers seem to go well past the numbers shown by the "drug killings by year" mini graph (~11,750 + 6,250 for those two years). Or am I missing something?
Just got back from Playa on Sunday night - and echo most people's opinions on here. We went into Playa for the day/evening with absolutely no concerns, minded our own business and had a great time. Even rented scooters and ventured off the "beaten trail" for a lot of the day, and didn't find any trouble. So true - you usually reap what your sow.
