Valimaki is AHL eligible next season, right?

I do believe he is eligible to play in the AHL because he turns 20 before the end of this year, if his birthday was January first and he had just turned 19 this year then he would have to play one more season in the CHL.

Harvard visited Craig Conroy's home town tonight and took on Conroy's alma mater.
For the fourth time in their last five games, they went to OT and for the third time in their last four games, they walked away with a tie.
The final score was 6-6. Fox finished the game with one PP assist. He now has 11 points (all assists) in 14 games played.

Has it been a disappointing year for fox and Harvard or are they doing well against the expectations?
I always find it difficult to determine just by looking at the high level stats of the NCAA season.

I think it’s been a little disappointing for Harvard so far. They were a near consensus #1 pick in the ECAC preseason polls:

Next weekend’s game against Cornell should be a good litmus test.

I think fox just needs a breakoutgame. It's been 1 assist here, 1 assist there. Also kind of strange to see a 6 goal game and he only has 1 assist.

They had a really bad November, going 1-5-1 in the month. Since the start of December, they've been a lot better. They just need to start putting some wins on the board instead of so many ties.
Their opponent last night, Clarkson, is one of the top teams in the NCAA this season (currently ranked #2 in the USCHO.com poll). Last night was actually the first non-win Clarkson has had in Conference play this season.
Tonight, they're going to the other end of the spectrum and playing one of the worst teams in the NCAA.

Another game, another OT for Harvard.
They had a 3-1 lead early in the third, but St. Lawrence came back to tie it late and force the OT. It was the Crimson's 5th OT game in their last 6 games played. This time around, they were able to score in OT, so they walk away with the win.
It looks like another one assist game for Fox.

It was not a good weekend for Harvard. They had two home games and did not score a single goal.
They lost 3-0 to Cornell on Friday night and 2-0 to Colgate tonight.

This may be a blessing in disguise, depending on how many classes Adam Fox requires to graduate in his specified area, a poor team in Harvard could push him to signing with the Flames sooner rather than after his 4 years of schooling is complete.

Harvard hit the road to Dartmouth Friday night and go home with a 4-1 win. The score was closer than that for most of the game. Their third and fourth goals were scored in the final 2:30 of play.
In the NCAA, the scoresheets sometimes get updated well after the game is over, but as of right now, Fox was held without a point. If that remains, this will be the first time in his college career that he has gone three straight games without a point.
The Beanpot tournament starts Monday night, with Harvard facing a suddenly-surging BU team that has won 5 in a row and hasn't lost in 7.
Harvard will soon be without their best player this season, Ryan Donato, for a couple of weeks as he has been named to the US Olympic team. I'm not sure if he'll play in the game on Monday or not. The US plays its first game on Valentine's Day, so he might play on Monday and leave for Korea afterward.

It wouldn't be a Harvard game this season without OT.
Harvard and BU are tied at 2 after regulation and will be heading to OT shortly on TSN2. Fox has again been held without a point.
On the other side, Brandon Hickey has 1G 1A for BU. Brady Tkachuk has no points.

If Arizona doesn't sign him by August 15, yes.

I would like to sell high on Fox.
And then sign Hickey in August - that would be hilarious.

Harvard lost to Union College, 3-1 on Friday night. Fox was kept off the scoresheet again. He has now gone 5 games without a point. He had previously never gone more than 2 games without a point.
The second half of the Beanpot goes today.
Unfortunately, Harvard lost to BU last week, so they'll be playing in the Consolation Final at 2:30pm MT against Boston College. It doesn't look like TSN will be carrying the early game, only the final later tonight.
With the Flames in town, I wonder if Johnny will be stopping by the Garden to cheer on his former team? I'd expect Tkachuk to be at the Final to support his brother.

Fox finally gets a point!
Harvard scores a PP goal late in the first. Fox with an assist.

Harvard blew a late 4-2 lead and BC tied the game with two goals in the last 3 minutes of regulation. For once, OT was kind to the Crimson and they scored to win the game 5-4.
Fox ended the game with 2 PP assists.
If anyone is interested, the Beanpot final between BU and Northeastern will be on TSN2 at 5:30pm MT. Brandon Hickey and Brady Tkachuk both play for BU.

Pierre Mcguire during the Olympic broadcast said that Ryan Donato might go pro and join the Bruins right after the Olympics and not return to Harvard.
If that is true, a huge loss for Harvard as Donato is their leading scorer.
It is pretty rare that a NCAA player leaves a school mid-season unless there are circumstances (e.g. NCAA rule violation that would lead to suspension or being kicked off the team, poor academics that lead to suspension, coach not giving enough ice time) but with Donao's father being the head caoch of Harvard, these scenarios are unlikely.

If Harvard is a slated to Suck next year seems going pro could be a possibility?
