Kipper aint showing up guys.
Honestly I'm excited for a new wave of alumni. They don't have the cup win like the last group but for a new generation of middle aged men these guys were their Flames. Iggy, Regehr, Conroy etc.

Maybe we can get Kari Ramo to skip a few DEL games so we can see that awesome Raven mask again

Surprising the names off the top of my head I can think of who played for (or were drafted by) both teams.
Stoll
Lombardi
Cammalleri
Glencross
Roloson
Brathwaite
Staois
Smid
Smith
Fuhr
Gelinas
Russell
Hamrlik
Cujo
Musil
Ference
Lucic
Ryan
I'm sure there are many more but I always thought there weren't too many. Could almost make a tournament out of the alumni game with a Flames team, and Oilers team, and an Alberta team. And of course the Alberta team would be forced to to wear a half and half jersey.

Outside of some of the bigger names, these alumni squads will probably be mostly locals who settled post-career in the area. The guys that already play together weekly in pickup.

Based on what I know about his lifestyle, oh he definitely is. With some regularity.

These guys have to place their sticks in the middle of the ice at Commonwealth and then we get King Charles III to close his eyes and throw sticks alternate directions to decide which alum teem they play for. Just like at the ODR.

I'm not sure he'd even remember he played for the Oilers.

One nice thing about the Sutter GM era is his focus on building around big Western Canadian players means most of the guys I named either are from the area or settled here after they retired.

Jones never played for the Oilers ... Avs, Wild, Flames.
Although I think it'd be awesome if he played for the Flames alumni

If there was a chance that they had to play for the Oilers, even in an alumni game, then you can bet Lucic, Ference, Gelinas and Glencross would just not be available for the game. I suspect you can add a couple more names to that list.
