Yeah the second hand market went nuts after it was announced. Was eyeing one of those two Kipper Heritage Classics on marketplace for over a month and as soon as it was announced, unsurprisingly they started getting bombarded with offers. The last I heard from the one lady that I was messaging who originally had it posted for $350 ended up with a multiple increasing offers, eventually landing on one from someone for $600 plus shipping.

I had one Kipper in my closet but it wasn't in the nicest shape to get framed but thankfully got lucky and was able to snag a NWT home and then separately an away, both from around 2004 that I managed to send off in time.

Because I couldn't get my hands on one of those Kipper Heritage Classics, I then ordered a HC Kiprusoff kit hoping it would arrive in time so I could send off just the number to get signed and eventually crested on my blank HC jersey but sadly I still have not received it so was pretty bummed I missed the boat on that one.

Classic Kipper.
Noodles comes out to center ice with him and holds his beer when the puck is dropped.

It was organized by Sport Authentix in Ontario. Unfortunately the deadline to have items received by them for the signing is tomorrow

Yea I tried to snag one of those kipper jerseys. I passed when they were fishing for ~$500 lol. Those felt numbers sign terribly anyway.

I ended sending loose number and will get them crested on jerseys after the signing. All I could track down in time.

The Noodles story on Barn Burner a few days ago of Kipper and the one-eyed gerbil is hilarious.

Really hope Lanny is healthy enough to do the narration of the video tribute. One of the best parts of Iggy's ceremony.

I don't know if this warrants its own thread, but I'll be flying in next week to see Kipper get his number retired live at the Dome. I'm arriving on the 29th because I thought there was a game that day to watch at a pub or something (there isn't). But if anyone is interested, I was wondering if we could have a CP meetup for a beer or two. Just throwing it out there. Thanks.

Classic Kipper.
And hopefully Depo is in the crowd and Kips gives him a long wink whilst drinking said water.
