5 was always a long shot and never probable really. It basically would have required the Flames to completely lose out and have 3 times behind them win out.
I thought maybe they could squeeze into 7. 5 was never really possible.

Great question. I don't know why I post on this site at all. Its a complete waste of time. But I have a compulsive need to talk about the Flames, and I live in a city devoid of Flames' fans. All my friends cheer for the Oilers.

Then we can get to the real business calling the team stupid for not drafting the one player I have become fixated on for the last few months. Then we can get to the business of calling the team stupid for signing any free agent for any reason.
