Too bad we couldn't get into the top 5, which looked probable a few days ago. But #8 would be perfect.
5 was always a long shot and never probable really. It basically would have required the Flames to completely lose out and have 3 times behind them win out.
I thought maybe they could squeeze into 7. 5 was never really possible.

Where's the post about ‘you'll remember this win for the rest of your life’?

Oh, that's right, you made that up.

The young guys need to go out on a winning streak anyway, it's good for their development.

Cheer for wins man, because the team is 29th since the deadline, they've lost 9 of 12, they can't possibly lose again. Why even care about 8th vs 10th, it's a few percent of lottery odds and negligible difference between players available? But you'll remember this win for the rest of your life, or at least until May 6th on lottery day and don't you want that memory?

Don't forget, your perspective really does not impact the outcome, so why are you even posting it at all?
Great question. I don't know why I post on this site at all. Its a complete waste of time. But I have a compulsive need to talk about the Flames, and I live in a city devoid of Flames' fans. All my friends cheer for the Oilers.

Boy, y'all sure are a cranky bunch these days. Chill out. The painful end of the season is almost over. Then we can get to the real business calling the team stupid for not drafting the one player I have become fixated on for the last few months. Then we can get to the business of calling the team stupid for signing any free agent for any reason.

I love this time of year.

If they cheer for the Oilers, they’re not really friends.

You don't have to take offense to everything and get so worked up. It's not that serious.

I'm not taking offence. I'm telling you that you made something up, then lied by saying you could show where someone else said it.

At no point is any of this about me. But it is about you, and your growing lack of credibility in this whole discussion.

This is generally how conversation works. One person makes up sentences. Then the next person makes up sentences. It's all made up!

You're here, making up sentences, so how isn't it about you? You're not fully autonomous?

You claimed that other posters had said everything in your post, and you could quote those posts. Part of what you posted was ‘you'll remember this win for the rest of your life’.

You lied.

Blowing smoke about ‘how conversation works’ does not help your case.

It’s not really pedantic to note that someone is literally making #### up.

Show me where somebody said they would remember the win for the rest of their lives.

Go on, I've been waiting.

And stupid for not resigning players I like. Or keeping players up I don’t like.
