If Vladar had some unreal history against EDM, maybe. But he doesn’t. Being the last goalie to beat them isn’t reason enough to sit the better goalie in my eyes.

You can’t play markstrom every game though. But I do agree with you

If Markstrom and/or Kuzmenko are sitting for trade-related reasons, I’m sure Friedman will say so shortly.

I have figured this version of the Flames out.
When I think they are going to get destroyed. They win.
When I think it should be an easy win. They lose.
I think they are going to get destroyed tonight. So take it with a grain of salt.

Think Huska is not a big fan of kuzmenko

Why would that be? He has been good, he even backchecks more than I expected.

Home teams wearing colour at home instead of white might be one of the best decisions the NHL has ever made.

Sounds like there's a bug going through the team. Which makes me question why they aren't playing against the Oilers even more.

I don't like the goaltending choice tonight and I don't like the not playing Kuzmenko. Kuzmenko is a player that I think would shine in this game. And quit giving Oiler fans more ammo in the "we broke Markstrom" argument. If you don't trust Markstrom against your main rival then I guess you may as well trade him.

On a positive note, I’m quite excited that Pelletier’s back.

Vladar is 1-1 vs Edmonton with 917 save %
Markstrom is 2-5 with a 886 save %
He’s also had some big blunders vs Edmonton.
I think it’s clear why he’s not playing. Markstrom isn’t very good vs Edmonton.

Yeah, that sounds fishy to me. My spidey senses are telling me something is up. Or is that just wishful thinking?

HC jerseys again tonight?
Likely Singh and Louie on the call. Find the mute button.
Pelletier in will be a boost.
Markstrom not in is fine if he's not 100%. I don't think he's being traded. That NJ ship sailed two weeks ago, and Vladar needs to be showcased for a trade as well.

Well his play away from the puck the last 5 games or so has been at best, horrible.
So not at all surprised the Huska isnt a fan right now.
Pretty much as advertised in that, yeah he is a decent offensive threat but he doesnt do much of anything for the team when he isnt scoring.
Coaches hate that.

I dont understand how Markstrom can be no good to start, but is fine to back up.
Like what if there is an injury 5 min in? Or Vladar gets shelled?
Feels like rolling the dice, no?

Booooo
Really wanted Markstrom to start tonight. Guy is a beast and want him to shut up the naysayers still harping in how he can't beat the Oilers.

I for one like starting Vladar, Oilers seem to be Markstrom's Achilles heel.. I'd rather not cut it before the deadline

He’s moved him down to the 4th line two games in a row. Then healthy scratch.
I don’t know why. I thought he was generating offense against the bruins.
