To me the flag remains the last problem I have with them. The piping wasn't a big deal to me, but I like the cleaner look. I prefer the new laces for the same reason. The font change is also a nice touch. It's still a Flames jersey with blue on it though, so my attention goes there first every time.

I don't mind it. Through the Vertical striping i'm not a fan of.

Yeah I don't buy that at all either. He's just saying that to keep everybody happy, that's how I took it. No way will this team ever ditch the black under his watch.
Even though I hate the flags, they do look better where Adidas placed them. So there's that. The lacing looks better now, but the fact it serves no purpose anymore just makes it weird, why not just go back to the V neck at that point? I'm guessing Adidas just liked making it look like the Adidas triple stripe.
Overall it's just a tired look, and has a dated feel to it. Most of the tweaks were for the better, but the Flames really missed an opportunity here

In fairness, what I would like to see is to feel the fabric. One upgrade between Reebok and CCM series was the fabric in the fans version.
However, this design doesn't prompt me to buy.
Anyone has the white jersey design pictures?

I don't mind it, I think it is an upgrade on our previous jersey but I do also want the retros to be our primary jerseys. I would like to see the whole uniform though, all of it put together would be nice to see.
I picked like, because I don't dislike it and I do care. I am glad the piping is gone (black) and I think it just looks much cleaner. The horse head as the shoulder patches would be fantastic to be honest, better than the flags, although I don't hate the flags like others do.
It could have been worse.

Still amongst the bottom 3 uniforms in the league. I'm not disappointed because I'm used to incompetence from the organization design-wise. I guess a marginal improvement is better than nothing.

To be honest, all NHL jerseys have been garbage since Reebok took over. Anybody else miss the CCM/Koho days, or even the Starter and Pro Player days? Nike? Those all used to be jerseys of quality.

All-in-all, it's a very slight improvement, but generally not significant enough of a change.
If they made three minor changes, I'd really like them... - Get rid of the lace on the collar
- Use the shoulder patch from the thirds instead of the flags
- Bottom stripe like the 2003 design and no vertical stripes on the sides

I think that your improvements would have 90% plus support amoung fans with an opinion which is why it is maddening that they didn't do it.
I went with don't care in the poll but it certainly won't be buying one.

I liked the piping on the old version, so I guess I'd prefer that version. The only parts I didn't like on the old jerseys were the shoulder flags and the striping down the sides, and they kept both on the new jersey. So a big meh from me. Still don't hate it, but don't really like it either.

I'd still prefer the retros but what's described is a huge improvement over what we're stuck with.
What's wrong with these guys? Do they have no sense of aesthetics?

I wonder if the Flames feel like they'd be called unpatriotic if they removed the flags after putting them on. Especially with all the 150th anniversary stuff going on.

I voted based on a relative comparison to the prior jersey - and I like the changes. I think it looks a little cleaner.

They got rid of the piping which I didn't like, so I like that. Just a cleaner look IMO.
I think these are a slight improvement. Shoulder patches higher up.
Larger side panels, which I don't mind.

The missed opportunity stings more than the ugly jersey. These jerseys are so dated and reek of 2007. It's time for something fresh.

Maybe it's not all Ken King's fault cause most of the jerseys sucked. More like Gary Bettman please read?

I like they got rid of the piping and made the font non-italic, but they kept the flags and the black, so it's basically the same.
Meh.

Nope, the title should be "Murray Edwards Please Read". He must get to make the final call on the jerseys. Blaming Ken King for things means you do not understand that he is simply the messenger for the CSEC ownership group.

The thing I'm most upset about, is that I have to buy a new jersey now. I've only had my current Brodie jersey for three seasons. I can try not to buy one of these, but I'm a sucker that needs to have the current authentic jersey. Damn you NHL for taking advantage of obsessive fans like me.

Best thing for fans that do not like these new jersey"s is roll with what u have already and boycott buying them. The Flames executive will get the message after a year of decreased sales. Purchase the Retro ones if u must instead.
