I'm pretty sure that it moved to ontario. They will probably have something in Toronto soon. In london they built one 2 blocks from where i used to live.
I don't really like it though.

I was in Tulsa about 2 years ago and the conference host guy, who lived there told me they only use food to move the gravy into their bodies, actually maybe he said sauces. We were in a remote getaway setting and the main lodge or whatever made all our meals buffet style. I never ate so much gravy related stuff. Biscuits and gravy for breakfast was pretty yummy.
Also can't believe some of the places mentioned here, that I've been in totally drunk. Bella Roma's, Vans etc. No love for the Tropicana?
I always like Volos on 26th ave and about 20th sw.

its even better when its made right.. Make white gravy, then take sausage and cut it up into small chunks . Then mix sausage with the gravy , then pour over biscuits. Your now entering Artery Clogging American Heaven.
Another thing you don't do a lot of is Ranch. It seems we eat ranch with everything. I see people with Ranch on Pizza and all sorts of stuff. Me, I mainly go with it on Buffalo wings and fries. I ate wings in Calgary and was told, " Sorry sir we dont serve ranch , just blu cheese.' WTF?!!?!?!?!

If you like Nick's I find these pizza's to be of similar type (steakhouse style) and all good:
Pizza Spot (Northland Mall)
Michaels (Downtown)
Scottsman's Well (Creekside/Evanston)

The last two times I ordered from there, the pizza sucked. That saddens me because they were my VOLOS back up.
The last time I ordered, the bill was $27 and I handed him $40. The f'n guy asked me if I want change. WTH? I'm gonna tip you $13 on an already way overpriced pizza? Nicks is officially on my sh*t list.

Verns is kinda gross. Maybe if you've just finished drinking two jugs on an empty stomach over at Rips... But sober? Pass.
Volos is still the king of the inner city SW. I disagree about Vogglios being the best in the neighbourhood. Vogglios is definitely good though.
On a tip, I gave that place on 26th and 45th a try. Can't remember the name. Herb's? Harry's? Homo's? Whatever. It's pretty not bad, and is well priced. A large hawaiian was $16 for pick up. Not too bad, but nothing to write home about.
Hannis at 37th st and 46th ave is still delicious, if you're in that area.
As mentioned by Trout, Varsity Pizza is greasy as hell. Like, really greasy. Don't get the appeal unless you're hopped up on the wacky tabbacky.
Pizza Bob's is ok as well, but the crust seems so salty. What's up with that? Crust shouldn't overpower the sauce.

Next time I'm in Calgary, I'm going to have to try Odyssey - man I've driven past there so many times.
For those mentioning Sbarro, I've tried it in Newry (now closed down) and Dublin. Quite frankly, they should be locked up for crimes against pizza.
I'm in London now and of the pizza chains that deliver, Papa John's is the best of a bad bunch. Ordering of them is a real crap shoot as sometimes it can be beautiful, but more often than not the pizza ranges from average to (if you're really unlucky) awful.
I'd rather eat a steaming rhino turd than anything from Dominos.

Live in the south, but, I have dined at Nick's and can say they have very good pizza.
Downtown I also like Veronas for a slice. If looking for a 'meatier' pizza, try Pauls, its on 6th Ave and about 7th or 8th Street SW.
In the south, Sammys. No question. The guys that run the Sammys by Fish Creek Station are solid guys too. Always remember their customers, and it is really reasonably priced. Very consistent, always the same delicious pie. They could add real Italian sausage to the menu though (think Spolumbos).

x3 Verona's pizza has been around for 35+ years, and is still as good now as it was when I was a kid.
Honorable mentions to Nick's Steakhouse, Sammy's Pizza (near Fish Creek Station), and Coco Brooks.

It's not Nick and Willy's anymore though. It's still a pizza place but has a new name. The name is eluding me right now.

I used to work at Matadors years ago, and then at Matadors 2 in Silver Springs. I think this is where Mitillinis is now? Anyway, Matadors sold it after only a few years, but may have bought it back in the meantime.
I really loved Pizza Spot by the old Palomas... but sadly that got sold and has now closed down.
I grew up eating the Greek Pizzas of Calgary, and nothing in California comes close.

Hey do you know where they buy their house salad dressing? Is it made in house? I once gave the waitress cash to fill up a styrofoam container of it for me, but I'd love just to buy a four-liter jug of the stuff.

I honestly can't remember. At first I was going to assume it was a fairly standard ranch but with a few things added... now I'm not so sure, as I seem to have memories of it being made in house. If it's bought, though, then it's available from the "usual" restaurant distributor there - I did a quick Google but I can't find the name. Maybe they've been bought out, but at the time (15+ years ago) there was one company that supplied most of the restaurants.
