I mean I know what happened last night, but to go out and sign a goalie while you are in the finals to replace someone that had been with the teams and playing during the playoff run seems a little odd.
That's ballsy. You've got maybe 6 games max left and go sign someone to an ATO to be the backup over a guy who spent almost the entire year there sharing minutes.
Based on Roy pulling himself it's going to be hard to get him back between the pipes. If you watch the highlights posted on the Flames website you will see his third goal was suspect. Coleman has had a light season after starting late out of surgery and then rotating with the crazy talent we've seen in net this season.
Roy has been an integral part of our run but at some point you need to go with the leagues top netminder. I also think another bad start would do terrible for his career. It was in his best interest to remove himself from the equation.
If Coleman goes down don't be surprised to see Roy miraculously be ready to go the next game.
