Davis ran into a Mack truck (or Mack Henry at least).
/Henry with the shoulder cost the Riders 15 yards of real estate.

Dickenson is an absolute moron. Two missed challenges when he should have thrown the flag, including one that cost the Riders any chance to win.
Then he throws it after he’s already lost them the game as a total Hail Mary.
No wonder this is his first HC gig after so long in the cfl.

I have to think Dave Dickenson is more upset after watching this game than Craig. How in the hell did the Stamps lose to that team at home? The Ottawa defense was cringeworthy bad as Fajardo is not a great passer but their secondary was out of position all night. Even in deep prevent defenses they were still getting beat lol.

Lions are not what we thought they were..
Ugly, and Reilly was not very good but that offensive line was atrocious.

After the Lions took the 17 - 3 lead early in the second quarter they proceded to put up MINUS TWO yards of net offence over the rest of the game.
And that's against a defense that was missing four starters in Bazzie, Unamba, Santos-Knox, and Orange.

It's early, but Harris is really showing something in Edmonton. Not looking forward to Edmonton next Thursday.

The Lions are putting up an average of 23 points a game and allowing 35 a game. Pretty surprising considering the talent that they bought in. but their offense looked putrid in the second half of that game.
My criticism of Claybrooks has always been that he's just not great with adjustments. With the Stamps he had some pretty amazing veteran defenses, but when teams started rolling on him, he really looked lost and depended on his veterans to bail him out with their athleticism.
When he left the Stamps, I stated that I was happy for him to get this opportunity, but it was time for him to go anyways, especially with the rebuild of the defense that was to come.
In the first two games of the season his biggest issues have been around adjustments, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and he doesn't have a coach like DD to act as guidance.
There also has to be some heat of Jarious Jackson as the OC.

Not sure what an OC can do when the pocket is collapsing like it was last night. That was as bad an offensive line performance as you will see. Still early in the season so plenty of time to sort things out but maybe I was a little overly optimistic on the Lions as it seems like they have a lot of holes on their roster. Also I feel Carter is a loser and I just don't expect good things to happen on teams that put him on their roster.

Toronto looks really bad... they might give Montreal a shot at the playoffs.

I don't know if even the Als over the last few years have put forth a more pathetic performance than the Argos in their home opener. It's looking like Franklin is not a very good QB. I'm beginning to think any mediocre QB would have looked good in Edmonton throwing deep balls for their tall receivers (you have to admit they have been a receiver factory) to bring in.

How does a 9 team league give three teams a bye week in the second week of the season?
And boo on them for essentially scheduling two games this weekend. Could we not have had a four game weekend so I had something to do at my in-laws?

Agreed. But I can only imagine how happy the players with bye weeks were considering how they basically went with 14 hour days since before May long.

I don't like that style of hat but I don't mind the them of Stampders text in the maple leaf as the colors work. It's the kind of hat you can wear to the US that elicits funny looks which I like.
