Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but it is a shame the Flames did not trade and sign Kane the year the Sabres traded him. He would be the scoring winger we need right now.

Fair enough, not like we can change it now. We went with Neal and Lucic instead with that money. If it was the same draft picks that the sharks gave up and some middling prospect I would do it. Hard to find legitimate power forwards like Kane.

Flames were wide awake to start this game, which was good to see. Solid first period overall. Just gotta find the back of the net. If we can get that first goal, I think the floodgates will open.
