Yeah but he got Pp time with Barkov
Somebody had to prop him up since we see no sign that he can do it on his own

Point is, as long as the players are having more fun, that’s all that really matters right?
That’s what it’s all about

That open net miss by Huberdeau was something else all right. At least we didn't have to see a Savard Powerplay tonight I guess. That always sucks the wind right out of the sails.

The miss was egregious but hardly the worst thing in this game. Turnovers? Coleman worth the most obvious one that hurt but a number of others all over the ice in the 2nd and 3rd. The second goal was a comedy of errors - they couldn’t control a puck, capped off by Coleman somehow deciding firing it hard into the scrum was a good idea. Probably his worst game all season despite an assist on a shorty.
Coronato looked to have found the sledding pretty tough in this game (Zary did also). They are going to have to find their way as smaller players.

I'm sure when they play in Edmonton tomorrow they will suddenly become the dirtiest team in the league and will spend all afternoon in the penalty box.

In that season he was heavily sheltered by Barkov taking the hard matchups, especially at home with last change.
Home points 71
Road points 44

Coronato needs an off season devoted to power skating - where’s he at ain’t it.

The Flames got a goal on special teams; I'm not sure why posters were hoping for a power play for the Flames the way the PP has been.
Ah...Huberdeau. Well, he did have that really nice second period a few games ago.

I thought Coronato looked great in the first, he was flying along with the rest of the team. Couple nice stick plays to create turnovers too.
I noticed him less as the game went on, and he seemed to be replaced on his line by the end, I guess as we tightened the bench.
Crossbar too. Hope he gets to play the road trip.

Usually don’t cheer for owners greed and a lockout when the CBA expires but this time go all in owners. Give the players the standard “we will allow a couple free buyouts so players get some money”. The Flames only need one free buyout.

Just trade Dube for Duclair or some other chemistry to play with Huberdeau.
Get the man some help already

Will Duclair help him hit empty nets?

Everyone blames Hubey but Coleman makes 2 stupid plays that really costed the Flames. I have to say thoiugh, Hubey doesn't know what to do with the puck! So frustrating!

I don't think anyone is blaming Huberdeau for the loss (at least myself anyway), just venting that the highest paid Flame of all time can't even seem to hit an open net gimme goal while completely underwhelming since the trade.

He's underwhelming compared to Zary and Pospisil.
