This team has ZERO push!
Pespective. This is a team playing without half of its top 6 forwards and without it's starting goaltender, in a year that didn't have a training camp and worse, with a captain that traditionally only plays 60% of the season.

At this point opposing team must be playing for the shootout when they end up in OT with the Flames right?

Would anyone feel less annoyed if we were to lose in a continuous OT format? I sure the hell would, the shootout is so gimmicky it's an embarrassment.

Noooooooooo.

Flames need to burn every first round pick they get until they land a top line C (heck a 1st/2nd/3rd line center will do).

I can't wait for baertchi to be back. I loved his youthful enthusiasm on the ice.

hopefully this is a better team with him and cammalleri playing.

Strong game. They contained Minnesota's first line all game long and not every team has been able to do that. Irving was also very solid.

Hudler and Brodie were both impressive, but I think all defensemen played really well. Strong on the boards and getting the puck up quickly. I think it was a fairly positive game.

Not bothered by losing in a shootout. They had better shooters. Their first two both have over 40% in their long careers. It's all about the shooters - don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Meh, it was a typical Wild/Flames game.

Best players to me: Brodie, Irving, Wideman, Hudler, Cervenka.

Loved Stajan in the faceoff circle.

its not all his fault, he suck balls one on one obviously...didn't allow many scoring chances at all nor did the Flames get many

They must be working with him, his rebound control was better, and I am sure he will get help on positioning when they study videos..

Flames top six forwards this year in no order are:

Cammy
Iginla
Tanguay
Cervenka
Hudler
Edit - Forgot that Glencross can occassionally be a top six guy. The Flames are missing a top six forward.
Stajan/Backlund/Stempniak

At best they are missing two of their top six, and the 2nd one is a borderline top six forward on this or any other team. Hopefully we are not that other Alberta team that counts on rookies to be top six forwards.....
