Ever since its third season cancellation in 2006 that enraged comedy fans worldwide, a movie adaptation of the cult classic TV show 'Arrested Development' has been the holy grail for wistful diehards, its on-again, off-again status playing with the emotions of the DVD-wielding masses. Now, word has come that creator Mitch Hurwitz is indeed working on the script and that the film will be made.

I don't understand why they couldn't 'Family Guy' the show... Nobody, outside of Bateman and Cera, has been in anything that has stuck. Bateman and Cera seem to have stuck to film, which may have been best.
I get that you can't have the show without those two, but still, there seemed to have been enough public outcry over the last few years. I wonder if it was ever proposed.
PS, those who are on the "Protia De Le Rossi is soooo hot" boat, check out 'Better Off Ted' if you have Netflix Canada. There's something about her having power that makes her hotness go to 11.
Hopefully, but I'll believe it when I see it. Talk of this alleged movie has been going on for years now(which this thread - started in '09 - shows). I just hope it doesn't go the way of Deadwood, when they keep talking about this supposed movie for years and then all of a sudden its 5 years later and its "ya, its not happening anymore".
