Has a movie ever been as poorly marketed as Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping?
Heard it had a cult following so finally gave it a chance. The trailers made it seem like a dumb Bieber parody when it’s actually Lonely Island The Movie with scathing attacks on the music industry and celebrities reminiscent of Spinal Tap. Has some hilarious songs and is jam packed with cameos. Tim Meadows was too funny. 9/10 would watch again.
What a fun movie this was, from start to finish. Reminded me of It's All Gone Pete Tong (which is a great movie in it's own right), with that musical mocumentary style full of cameos. Especially Michael Bolton and Seal, who nailed it.
Hopefully they made a soundtrack of this and I can find it somewhere.

I didnt think anyone else ever saw that movie. I thought it was great!

I wouldnt re-watch that movie at gunpoint. I'd tell you to pull the trigger.
So...anything would be better than that.
TBF, that was a very IMAX specific visual movie. Which it did masterfully, visually. That's what I meant when I posted what I did. It loses its purpose on a home viewing.

Yeah, but thats like the same bitch I have with Avatar.
Dont get me wrong, I like cool effects as much as the next guy, but I'm more of a 'story' person.
If a film is only any good because it looks cool in theaters but fails in every other aspect of a film? Hard. Pass.

I saw “Fighter” today, a.k.a. Bollywood’s takes on Top Gun. A little long but fiercely entertaining, highly unrealistic dog fights and flight scenes, great stunts. I’m pretty sure most of what they show the planes doing is not possible, or if it technically is it would then the pilot into a pancake. Excellent music throughout, must’ve had about four different montage scenes (and of course a dance number). Thinly veiled propaganda for the Indian Air Force. Had fun at it with my buddy.
Tucker and Dale ARE Evil: The College Kids' Point of View (HD, 17 min.) – This is just an edited version of the movie that takes out all the parts where we see how great Tucker and Dale really are. Basically just a shortened movie from the college kids' POV.
I misunderstood and thought that it was a much longer cut. Regardless, it's on the bluray, and I'll probably toss it on my next Amazon order, just for that.

You should watch 'Top Gunner.'
I wouldnt call it a 'take' so much as an absolutely shameless rip-off...but that movie is hilariously bad.
