How can you blame the coach for those type of mental errors
These are professional players. Hold them accountable

Wtf Vladdy…he didn’t even hustle on that dribbler to Devers! Easily could have been thrown out at home if Devers came up with it clean or a bounce earlier

Davis Schneider giving Vladdy the “come on man, really?” Look after that blunder really tells the story of this season

But in every sport at every level, fundamentals are drilled on over and over.
Now i dont know to what extent this club does such things, but the eye test considering base running and whatnot have been abysmal ever since Schneider took over tells me it aint enough.

Exactly let's see him in a post game interview call them out. Will he I'm guessing he won't. It was a great team effort is my guess.

Was the same under the previous manager
Which suggests it’s the players

I was going to say the same thing. He just coasted home as if Devers was always going to go to first. He probably didn’t have a play at home either but Guerrero really should have been busting it to make sure.

To me it’s a focus thing from a small number of players and primarily Vladdy
Dude just is never fully locked in.
You don’t see it from most of the players on the team.

The lack of a bunt from Biggio was on Schneider but the imbecilic baserunning is entirely on the players themselves. The manager can’t make dumb players smart.

I do not remember it that way at all. Montoyas teams were pretty good at the fundamentals, it was his decision making, particularly with the pitghing staff, that got him canned.
Either way, if the players you are coaching repeatedly make the same mistakes....its on you as much as them because its your job to change them from doing so.

Yeah I don’t get the reluctance to play small ball in that situation

This team will squeak in, not deserve it, and likely go on some insane run...
