There's a history with Schneider where he pulls his starters when they reach the 70+ pitch count. The fact is our bullpen has not been up to the task.

This is too painful to watch. So much promise has been wiped out with these first 2 games.

I for one am shocked that a bullpen that has been bottom third of the league since May continues to suck against elite teams .

Especially after they were sooooo good in games 1-2-3 of the Yankees series and completely shut down Seattle last night …….

Wherever KelVarnsen is, he could’ve walked 3 straight batters too.

Shouldnt really be too surprised I guess. The Mariners are like 22-3 in their last 25 games including regular season.

I’d rather lose to the Mariners than make the World Series and get crushed by the Dodgers so I guess there’s that?

You would? What's the logic in that? I'd always rather go further no matter what.

It feels like they are all swinging for homers. Like Springer there with a massive cut. What happened to their Yankees approach? And why change it?

Bassitt’s potentially last home game.

Jays have to win 2 in Seattle.
My guess is they do, just barely. But will come back 3-2 down and may leave them depleted for 6 and 7.

Can even Dr. Zaius save them at this point?

This team was not expected to do anything this season. They overachieved to get to this point. But the clock has struck midnight. Build on this, and hopefully next year they can get over the hump.

Midnight? Plenty of series left and this team has bounced back a lot this year, no?

Ok, if they come back and win the series, I'll eat serious crow. But they look overmatched and the lights are too bright for them.

Seattle looking like a powerhouse. Jays outclassed badly in 2 games.

Going to need a lot to go right in game 3 with Bieber up against Kirby. I’ve seen weirder things, but this is looking dire

Only question is if the “look at me” guy in neon yellow behind the plate will go home with the blonde on their first date after dropping a small mint on those seats.

Jays will be written off and the Mariners will get all the hype about close to their first WS etc etc and they get away from some of all the pats on the back from the local media. So they will be underdogs which is probably fine. Get 2 of 3 and use home field advantage.
