Yemen? No. I don’t even know what you’re talking about there. Which people in Yemen? I’ll give you Egypt and Tunisia and Libya (kinda…). Anyway. Different contexts different places etc.
I haven’t read too much about the torture imprisonment killing etc of protesters in those countries but hey, maybe they’re all just braver than the average Russian. Or maybe Russia crushes protests a little quicker and a little more ruthlessly based on necessity. I dunno, could be whatever. But my sense is it’s one thing to type away in your basement about what kind of Captain America things you would do and then another thing if you people were all put in their shoes.

It's extremely standard stuff for going around sanctions, this is also how ISIS oil was circulated into the world market.
Everyone also knows this is going on, to the point that EU has put a limit on how much you are legally allowed to pay in EU for "totally not-Russian" oil products. That last bit might sound weird, but price limits are actually quite effective in limiting how much profit Russia can ultimately make out of this.
The practicalities of sanctions are a real underworld of international politics.
As another example, the reasons why Russia allowed Ukraine to start exporting grain again through the Black Sea were I think never made public, but it likely included "totally unrelated" things like Turkey temporarily seizing some Russian grain ships at the Black Sea suspected of "selling stolen grain", and Lithuania allowing train transports to Kaliningrad again coincidentally right after first grain ships from Ukraine had sailed.

I’m going to chalk it up to that he’s got a lot more important things on his mind at this moment then posting on Calgary puck. Must be a terrifying situation especially having to leave his family back in that crap hole of a country.

Putin has fired the deputy defence minister who was in charge of Russia's military logistics operations since 2008. His replacement is the general who commanded the Mariupol siege and is known as the Butcher of Mariupol by Ukranians.

Did he even say where he was going? He said train and that Israel was his destination so I assumed Georgia or Kazakhstan.

Man. If those Tweets are factual and not propaganda from the West, how is this in any way responsible of Russia to do to their own citizens? Sending people to the front lines with zero training or experience? Terrible.
