Great thing about MLB is you can't lose on a BS tiebreaker rule. So for all things considered the Jays may as well have a 4 game lead on the WC, as a team would have to play a full 4 games better to pass us. If they tie us, a play-in to the WC would take place.

Also just to throw out the wildest possibility imaginable, there is a scenario possible where the Jays, Orioles, and Sox all tie for the division as well as the wildcard. In reading the rules, this is how I believe it could work.

There would be rules in place to determine who plays who, but the possibility exists that the following happens. Jays play O's, winner of that game faces Sox to determine division winner. Let's say the Jays win and then lose, then are tied for the second wildcard spot - they would play another playoff with that team. Then, if they win that, would play the WC game. That would be a total of 4 one game playoffs, and I don't even think the MLB has room in the schedule for that because it is so absurdly unlikely.

Sox won again today. Tigers lost. Baltimore losing to the Rays 3-2 in the 6th.

Just saw this on twitter.

Almost half of Smoak's outs this year are Ks. 110 Ks, 226 outs..Really, really tired of the K.

Me too. And he is so smooth. The backhand a grounder throw it to first while on the run for a perfect strike is so easy for him. I could try that a 1000 times and never even get close to throwing near first base.
