Second runs for the Snowboard Cross qualification if you want.

Mike Robertson is a lock for Canada.

François Boivin picks up big time with a much better time of 1:22.75.

Mike Robertson drops to foruth as Nick Baumgartner gets a better time on his second run of 1:21.70.

I'm new to watching this but the qualification is timed so I'm guessing the medal round is also timed.

They're running timed qualifications right now to determine where you start when the heats start to go.

Once the races start, they run 4 at a time with the top 2 advancing to the next round. The timed qualifications right now are to keep the top racers away from each other until the finals.

And no, it's not judged. In the final, the first one to cross the finish line wins.

Meh, not surprised or disappointed in this result. It's a tough one to find any consistency in, although the home course should have given the Canadians more of an edge than it did. If the Canadians finish with one top five result, that's not really out of keeping with about where we sit in overall world downhill rankings.
