Do you have plans in mind for a fifth season if a fifth season happens?
David Guarascio: We have - yes, we are ready to approach a fifth season if it should come. The finale is not something that should suggest that the show is over. Even though, if God forbid, the worst thing happens, we feel like we have a finale would be a great way to go out.
And being in this vacuum all this time, are you more confident now, less confident, the same in terms of whether it continues?
David Guarascio: More confident. I would make the bet now that there is a season five.
Moses Port: And I would make the bet with him.
Okay.

Though Community was able to keep some of their good writers (like Megan Ganz, who has since moved on), the two new show runners suck. Look at their track record, it's terrible. Happy Endings, the show they came from, has such bad jokes and they rely on the same jokes for every episode.
Like I said months ago, this season is going to be mediocre solely because of the cast and Ganz. Or else it would be complete dog sh**.
What a depressing read... I was getting excited to finally see Community back on the air and this just slapped me down. I wasn't expecting the show to go beyond this season but I had hoped it would go out with the same quality of the past three seasons.

I never had my hopes up, but after reading those two reviews (and reviewers who really do "get" what made Harmon's Community so awesome) I has a serious sad about tonight.
Perhaps I cancel the PVR setting and remember Community as a three season show.
Newsday Still defiantly Community, still good and still uninterested in adding new viewers.
San Francisco Chronicle Fans were rightly worried when Harmon was canned, but at least the first two shows of the new season follow his crazy-quilt template.
The New York Times The show has been dumbed down, its humor broadened past recognition, and the two episodes provided for review have fewer laughs between them than a single good scene from the old Community.
I can't imagine a truely "bad" episode of Community. On a more optimistic note, there are positive reviews out there too. All but one of the 8 reviews on Metacritic are postive and remember, season 1 only has a 69 on that site. If we get season one again, I'll be more than happy.
Correction: Not even a single negative review on Metacritc. Just 11 positives and 4 Mixed. Hardly time to panic.
