With our ___ overall pick, Better Late Than Never takes, in the Greatest Hits/Compilation category, Heaven and Hell: Live from Radio City Music Hall.
I may or may not need a judges ruling on this since i guess it could be considered the same as Black Sabbath but it was released under a different name. Let me know so I can pick something else if required.

With their 9th selection, in the 1994-96, The Rubes select Tom Petty - "Wildflowers".
Review from allmusic.com:
Quote:
Under the guidance of producer Rick Rubin, Tom Petty turns in a stripped-down, subtle record with Wildflowers. Coming after two albums of Jeff Lynne-directed bombast, the very sound of the record is refreshing; Petty sounds relaxed and confident. Most of the songs are small gems, but a few are a little too laid-back, almost reaching the point of carelessness. Nevertheless, the finest songs here ("Wildflowers," "You Don't Know How It Feels," "It's Good to Be King," and several others) match the quality of his best material, making Wildflowers one of Petty's most distinctive and best albums
Tracks -
1 - Wildflowers
2 - You Don't Know How It Feels
3 - Time to Move On
4 - You Wreck Me
5 - It's Good to Be King
6 -Only a Broken Heart
7 - Honey Bee
8 - Don't Fade on Me
9 - Hard on Me
10- Cabin Down Below
11 - To Find a Friend
12 - A Higher Place
13 - House in the Woods
14- Crawling Back to You
15 - Wake Up Time
Edit: Oh wait. I guess that isn't Dio... I mean it's Dio, but it isn't Dio... In fact, it seems very similar to another band I may have heard at one time or another...

That is why I asked for a judges ruling. Technically it is a different band since it is a different name, but they are playing songs from the Dio Sabbath era.
Since it hasnt been denied yet I will throw up some youtube tonight if I remember to.
I saw the Heaven and Hell tour here at the Dome. I was happy to see 3/4 of the best band of all time. Would have preferred the Ozzman over shorty, though.

Maybe the Ozzy from the early 80s, when he was still John, but I think Dio is sounding a bit better right now.

I don't have a problem with the pick at all. Initially, I saw Dio and was thinking it was a Dio album, then I realized what it was.
Again though, I don't have any issue with it. If Gordon Downie sang vocals for some other band, I'd expect to be allowed to select one of their albums even though I've already picked a Hip album.

a little different as Dio was involved in an incarnation of Black Sabbath. I'll leave it to the commish.

Oh frig, I just clued in. I stopped listening to Sabbath when Ozzy left, so the song names are unfamiliar to me... I was thinking it was Dio singing Dio songs with the boys from Sabbath (as a one night only, live, weird reverse band thing)...
I've just now figured out this is a really just a live Black Sabbath record with songs from the Dio-led Sabbath era.
Edit: or, actually, maybe I have no clue wtf this is... I'll stay out of it, except as to say that I liked Sabbath and I liked Dio, I just never really got my head around an Ozzy-less Sabbath with Dio singing.

yep, you've got it.
Tough decision. You'd have to do the same for AC/DC, Van Halen and anyone else who has changed vocalists.
The Beatles is the ninth official U.K. album and the fifteenth U.S. album by The Beatles, a double album released in 1968. It is more commonly known as The White Album as it has no text other than the band's name (and, on the early LP and CD releases, a serial number) on its plain white sleeve. The album was the first The Beatles undertook following the death of their manager Brian Epstein. Originally entitled A Doll's House, the title was changed when the British progressive band Family released an album earlier that year bearing a similar title.
In 1997, The Beatles was named the 10th greatest album of all time in a 'Music of the Millennium' poll conducted by HMV, Channel 4, The Guardian and Classic FM. In 1998, Q magazine readers placed it at number 17, while in 2000 the same magazine placed it at number 7 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. In 2001, the TV network VH1 named it as the 11th greatest album ever. In 2006, the album was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the 100 best albums of all time. It was ranked number 10 in Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles is The Beatles' best-selling album at 19-times platinum and the tenth-best-selling album of all time in the United States.
