Nope, no way of sending an mms (text message with a photo) on the iPhone , maybe there's something in the app store?

Really? Wow. Well, I'm a little disappointed. It's not a function I use all of the time (I've wanted to do it once in a little over a month), but even so, you'd think Apple would incorporate something to allow you to send them. I'll definitely check the apps and see if they have anything.

Yup that, copy and paste, and a few other things really stick out as curious in their absence.

The best way I know to do it is to send the photo via email to the person's phone # and that usually works.. i.e. 4035551212@fido.ca will send it to their phone.

So I just got my first bill... should not have used my phone the first few days because apparently the rate plan for data usage didn't kick in until 2 days after I got my phone.

That's a big ouchie on the wallet.

Dude thats wrong, just went through the same thing with them, they had to credit me.... but i had to call.

the plan once you have the phone takes effect on midnight the day you get your phone, so anything till midnight you have to pay anything after they do....

I had to get credits on texting, data, the price of the phone was wrong....ect don't let it go call them

So far overall happy with it. With the newest update it's more usable overall, though I still get slowdowns and the odd garbled call but quite a bit less than before. And battery life seems to have improved a small amount, though it's still classified as horrible in my mind (though for what it does and given the current battery technology I can't expect a lot better).

I have the $35 fido plan and $30/6GB data plan.

The phone is pretty good...I switched from a BB Pearl and am learning that this is a completely different tool - the iPhone is great for "entertainment" (music, movies, browsing, games) and so-so for email (compared to the BB) and general "work stuff"

I added the $30/6GB data plan to my existing (no-longer available) $25 voice plan...

PS - if you decide to get one, do so before end of Sept, as the $30/6GB promo expires end of Sept...

I've loving it. I'm pretty addicted and it's horrible to say, but I'm not sure how I did without it before. There are a lot of great applications available. I just downloaded "Ambiance"...it's fabulous and helps me fall asleep.

I'm on the $30/6 gig data plan and $35 voice. I get a discount through work, so it makes it a lot easier on the pocket.

Like any electronic device, it's not perfect (see my post above). Even so, it's a great tool to have.

Lots of good stuff about the iPhone in here - can you tell us about the Blackberry Bold?

Are the price plans the same, feature similarities/differences, etc?

My plain Telus contract just expired, and while I'm not anxious to get another contract; I think I'm going to get some sort of an unlocked phone and then just get a plan. And the Bold looks expensive but intriguing.

Anyone have any insights? Now that the Bold is out, would any of you switch to the Bold if it was an option? Why or why not?

Use QuickPwn to jailbreak the phone and then download SwirlyMMS from Cydia (the "other" App Store).

Could you give me a link to the quickpwn site you used? There seems to be 100's of sites out there.

I recently got an iPhone and love it.

Is there a way I can delete all my emails at once rather than one at a time? I looked at a whole lot yesterday while I was out of the office but now want to delete them all because I'm in the office and can deal with them more efficiently from my laptop computer. I'd like to be able to delete all the emails at one time.

If you click edit, then select each email, you can delete all selected at once. This isn't quite a delete all funciton, however it's much faster then giong into each email and clicking the trash can, plus you don't have to open up junk emails at all this way.

You might want to check out "Flutter"-- I haven't used it, so I don't know how well it works...

or you could slide your finger from right to left over the email you wish to delete, and the delete button will come up, press it and done.
