Lots of injuries this year. Amazing.

Wells - wrist and now hamstring. Bad luck for both of them.

Another big win for the Jays just now.

Down 5-2 going into the bottom of the 8th they get 2 then and 2 in the ninth with Lind getting the walk-off single to win it.

Not a bad last couple minutes - Stamps hold on to win and that leaves me just enough time to turn on the Fan 590 and catch the call of the Jays win.

One of the greatest plays I've ever seen. Even brought out a smile from Halladay.

Wicked awesome.

That was just awesome! And for Halladay to follow it up with a strike-out, it'd be a great night to be at the Rogers Centre. I just love these Flashback Fridays!

Make that 7. And a two hitter. Wow, I wish the rest of the team could take it to his level. I picked the right jersey to buy a few years ago. Always professional. The best Jay since the days of their World Series victories, no question.

^^no question.

It's funny when Doc pitches, I never get bored. Why, because he's so quick with his approach. The game didn't even last two and a half hours. How often does that happen? A lot when Doc pitches. Our season would be a disaster without the Doc. I think he should be at the all-star game and at the academy awards for the Doc of the year award. He's pitching like he want's another Cy young...7 CGs before the break? Almost unheard of.

This team looks better than the yanks. If we beat them for the remainder then we'll be neck and neck making for a tight and exciting stretch run.

We were at the games Thursday, Friday and today, and they were really good! The play by Scutero and McDonald was crazy.
It was cool to see A-Rod and Jeter as well. They both hit home runs today, so that was cool to see.

wow, giambi saved the yanks from 2 shut out losses in this last series. Nice game by AJ. Perhaps this is the kind of start he needs to feel good about the rest of the upcoming year. He pitched like that on 3 days rest, wow. Old timers used to do the same. There used to be 4 man rotations. Maybe this could prove to AJ that he is a real gamer and his stuff's as good as anybody's.

Mench eats left handers for snax. Platoon him with the others for just this type of situation.

Ps, anyone notice how the team looks to be fine without the highest and 3rd highest paid position player on the team? I like rios' arm in the field and vw's instincts, but how many wins will it take to forget their contributing assets. Man, when they return they better start raking.

PPS, 5/6 vs. divisional squads is a good way to get back into a race, especially when the rays are starting to hit the wall after overachieving for so long.

You wouldn't have said that watching yesterday's game with Wilkerson as CF and Inglett as RF. Their defensive play left MUCH to be desired.

Jays went on a tear when Vernon was out earlier in the year. Does the rest of the team relax when he is playing? As up and down as he is, it isn't like VW is be a detriment to the line-up.

Halladay is frustrated with being on a mediocre team all these years:

http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=2434...=secStory_main

Can't say I blame him. He's one of the best pitchers in baseball and the team seems to be right around the same area every year.

After hearing the quote on TV i kind of thought they were blowing it a little out of proportion. Unnerving news, but he is locked up for at least two more seasons, so there are lots of options here.
