With the emergence of Wolf we need young RFA players more than we need 2nd rounders. By the time a 2025 2nd rounder is ready to make an impact Wolf will be 27 /28.

They essentially drafted four second rounders after the first round in that 2024 class with the quality of their picks.

They're pretty stocked with 2nd rounder types.

I think we’ve sold him short. Admit I’ve only seen him live a couple of times, but both nights he was noticeable in good ways. Pelletier had a great attitude and drive, but little skill. Hard to survive off energy alone in the NHL when you're 170lbs. I'll miss him too, but best case scenario was he becomes a Pelletier.

And from the flyers perspective, they're dumping 2 players who absolutely do not fit in their coaches system. So it may feel like an addition by subtraction for them.

Always loved his energy and how he was able to get Huberdeau back on track. Very Likeable kid.

He became a throw in piece, a downgrade from what he should've been, which was a centerpiece.

Perhaps your inference ultimately proves true, but the mere fact that he cleared waivers at a point in the season where teams will likely be forced to waive to add doesn’t establish that a guy can’t play. At least that’s how I see it.

It’s also a stretch to say he ends up as the best player in the deal. Farabee has two 20 goal seasons and is only a year older. Pelletier’s upside is Paul Byron.

Pelletier really didn’t like the Sutter debacle.
