No one can be mad at this trade. It should make team all in and team rebuild both happy.

Suddenly we have a much, much deeper forwards group.

Great trade and clear win for the Flames. I don't think either guy is going to move the needle significantly. But it's great value for what we gave up.

They essentially drafted four second rounders after the first round in that 2024 class with the quality of their picks.

They're pretty stocked with 2nd rounder types.

In an environment where they are truly building from youth I would expect him to thrive.

As for the quality of what the Flames are receiving, these are guys with a few seasons in the league so there is a book on them. I think the return speaks to the content of that book.
Pelletier had a great attitude and drive, but little skill. Hard to survive off energy alone in the NHL when you're 170lbs. I'll miss him too, but best case scenario was he becomes a Pelletier.

Lots of posters said said Kuzmenko had no value and was untradable.

Nope, and nope.

Seriously, it seems like such an odd thing to add a 7th three years from now.
Since it’s coming from Calgary Philly might believe it is destined to manifest as the next Wolf.

Conroy continues to impress me with the moves he makes. This was an absolute steal by the Flames.

Flyer fans have a right to be upset.

Feels like a french connection thing, Briere overvaluing Pelletier?

So how do we roll down the middle. I love Zary and he put in the work to be a C.

Kadri
Zary
Frost
Backlund

And from the flyers perspective, they're dumping 2 players who absolutely do not fit in their coaches system. So it may feel like an addition by subtraction for them.

I wouldn't be shocked to see either player we got pop off after the Torts shackles have been taken off their necks..

Always loved his energy and how he was able to get Huberdeau back on track. Very Likeable kid.

He became a throw in piece, a downgrade from what he should've been, which was a centerpiece.

You gotta keep the Coronato line. You gotta keep the Huberdeau-Kadri combo. You’re left with

Huberdeau-Kadri-Sharangovich/Farabee
Zary-Frost-Fabaree/Sharangovich
Coleman-Backlund-Coronato
Lomberg-Pospisil-Klapka

I like it quite a bit

At least that’s how I see it.
It’s also a stretch to say he ends up as the best player in the deal. Farabee has two 20 goal seasons and is only a year older. Pelletier’s upside is Paul Byron.

Pelletier really didn’t like the Sutter debacle.
