Man, the Jays have hit 4 balls to the warning track. A little bit of a different wind and this ball game is wildly different.

I don't why, but I really don't like Cole. Just something about him. I wonder how many of his baseballs have been sent to the MLB to check for foreign substances and markings.

FU ump. What a terrible call to end a game. Well below the knees.

A good 6” below the strike zone, that just can’t happen.

Hard way to end the game, that wasn't even close on strike 3.
The strike zones have been really bad to start this season.

Horrible strike call to end the game. There have been several egregious "strike" calls going against the Jays. Robot umps can't come soon enough.
Anyways that was a good game for pitching that's for sure. Ray looked sharp. Bullpen looked good. That Yankees bullpen is very very good wow.
Still some critical hitters hitting well below their historical numbers. Gurriel Jr is one of them. It will come around.

After last nights controversy and all the stupid play calls this year so far, the MLB is going to have to change or the Gambling is gonna stop and that means no more interest, IMO.

Every single Blue Jay that went to the plate tonight...had a strike out.
Not sure i ever remember seeing that before.
The bats on this club should be so much better than they are but these guys just aren't willing to simplify things and just start getting the bat on the ball. The power will come in order. Instead its always swinging for the fence.
Frustrating.

Like Aroldis Chapman needs help from the umps. The pitch would have hit Tellez in the shins.

I read some commentary on Twitter and people were like "oh, but the umps zone was probably like that all night, so it's cool". Even if that was true (it was not), it's such a bizarre take that there are lost of people that are basically okay with bad umping so long as they are consistently bad.

The real ####ty part about that call was that early in the game Ray was absolutely painting the inside corner to righties but didn't get a single call. It's like the ump couldn't comprehend that Ray being a lefty, and with his movement, the ball was cutting across the corner finishing an inch or two out.
I'm a huge fan of automated strike zone. I don't know why it hasn't been implemented yet. There will still be a need for the 4 umpires to be at the bags to monitor the other aspects of the game so it's not like umpires will be losing there jobs. What's the big hold up MLB?
