No matter what, Peters has coached his last game for the Flames. It's just a matter of how the paper work is filed at this point.
The question now is, does Ward become interim for the rest of the season, or do they try to find someone else.

No. I don’t see a scenario where he remains the coach.

I do... But it won't last long and it will make the flames the national laughingstock, and be reversed within hours

I don't see that happening. Even if the Flames were to somehow come to the conclusion that Peters shouldn't be fired there's no way they'd ignore the pressure and optics it would bring. (barring some kind of crazy evidence that proves every allegation false)
Only questions now are when it happens, what the details are contract wise, and who replaces him.

It has been obvious that something is very wrong, and has been getting progressively worse. If not the abusive and demoralizing coach, then what?

This is pure speculation. As far as we know, it's just as possible that Peters had an anomalously great start because he was so much better liked by the players than Gulutzan, but as time went by, the high slowly went away and revealed a below average coach.
That said, it doesn't seem like anyone is feeling very sorry for Peters. Even Ward kind of stepped around a direct question of "do you feel for his situation" in a way which to me spelled out "not really no".
The way I look at these things is that the storylines are almost never simple and straightforward. Even if he was a total d-bag it's not likely the whole story.

What would that scenario be? I see a 0% chance he coaches any NHL team again

My guess is when the team was playing well, there was no need for Peters to resort to some of these rumoured 'motivation techniques"
But then when the team started to struggle, these things started happening and then the team stopped playing for him shortly after that.
Certainly explains why last year when things started going wrong, they never got better

Sensitivity training.
Seriously though, 10 years ago he gets hit with a team suspension and training, then comes back, his career may be saved.

FYI, Paul Bissonette was on SN650 this AM and had glowing praise for Tippet's handling of young players and journeymen.
This is good news, and when the Oilers do collapse and fail will serve to reinforce what everyone already knows to be true...
No.
Not even Dave Tippett and his exceptional positive reinforcement through coaching can save the Oilers.
No one can.
No one.
Edmonton is no good.

Same. I'm copying an older post of mine but it still applies here

I just don't see it. Peters hasn't even been near the team since the accusations, he's effectively suspended and there's already a de facto interim head coach. I can't see the team all of a sudden going "Investigation done, everythings fine" and going about business as usual. The Flames are just getting all their lawyer ducks in a row before making it official

No chance. Not only would it be a blackmark against the organization but half the fan base would either walk away or protest every game.

The problem is that people have already decided he is guilty regardless of the truth. The optics dictate he needs to be let go. That being said, many of you should be ashamed of yourselves. We live in a country where people are innocent until proven guilty. Perhaps you should put yourself in the persons shoes before judging

You know he's not going to jail right? This isn't a court of law.

Other players confirmed Aliu's story, he has already been proven guilty. That being said I am looking forward to cam_wmh's response to your post.

Brian Burke was on 630 this afternoon and had glowing reviews about Tippet as well. I already knew Biz was a huge fan. Raves about him on the spitting chicklet’s podcast at times. I guess that’s good news
