The Flames were asking for a lot more than that. And I'm using visitor data to the old library, and taking your numbers at face value.

I'm not comparing public worth numbers or anything like that, just strict attendance numbers to counter the guys claim that the library would outdraw Rogers which it won't. That's all I wanted to argue since he smugly tossed it out like absolute fact when it's not true.

How much should the city give Cadillac Fairview to expand Chinook Mall? 15,046,026 yearly visitors.

Interesting. Do the needs of homeless people that a project like CPL potentially helps to mitigate even a small bit detract from the usefulness of the data? If anything, I think it would illustrate the higher accessibility and community function of a public library as compared to an "events centre."
I haven't lived in Calgary for a long time, but my own town has a serious issue with homelessness. If my tax dollars produced some unintended relief to the most visibly marginalized group of people my city, then I am all for it.

Edmonton's water has a high percentage of nogoodium in it.

All I was saying is that a study that counts the multiple entry visits by homeless people to the library doesn't give real numbers of people who IMO are using the library for the services it provides (Books, learning, etc.) but that is an entirely different debate.

The transient numbers really don't make a material difference.
