No Canadian players drafted by the Flames.
2 Slovakians, 1 American, 1 Norwegian, and 1 Russian. All played in North America last year.

3 of the 5 players chosen by the Flames are committed to NCAA schools next season, but not the Boston-area ones we're used to seeing in recent years.
Pospisil is committed to St Lawrence University in upstate NY. They play in the ECAC and haven't made the NCAA Tournament since 2007.
Koumontzis is committed to Arizona State. Their program is only entering its third season as a full NCAA Division 1 team. They are not currently a member of any Conference.
Pettersen is committed to Denver, which is one of the most-successful programs in the NCAA. They won the Frozen Four in 2017 and have qualified for the NCAA Tournament for 11 straight seasons.
