oh, i don't disagree with that part... Engelland was under rated here, i know I didn't think he was indispensable...but here's proven himself to be a great leader and player... but LV is where he wanted to finish his career, not Calgary....
happy for the guy and Fleury, who seems like the nicest guy in hockey.
Can't say i am rooting for LV though... unless they play TB anyways... doesn't quite seem right/fair for a first time fanbase to win the cup right off the hop...

You should watch the feature they did on Deryk Engelland in the pre-game. That'll cure any misgivings about Vegas winning.

Ya, and Winnipeg against any other team and the outcome would be more balanced. Comes down to MAF getting super hot at the right time and the whole team just playing so hard.

This makes no sense. If they win the cup they've earned it. The NHL didn't give Vegas some all star team. They have defied all the odds with great management, coaching, and players stepping up.

Yes, including Scheifele.

In the playoffs but excluding the last 3 games? Because he has been absolutely terrible the last 3 games.

I have no beef with Vegas. They've been great hosts, the fans are awesome, and the team is hard working and entertaining. If Tampa wins the East, which they will, the thought of cheering for them against Vegas after memories of 04 makes me sick. And should make everyone here sick. #### Tampa.
That being said Jets aren't eliminated yet and have been the better team the vast majority of the series. Solve Fleury, and get Helleys ####ing game right.

I thought you cheer against the Flames in the playoffs?? I’m confused.
Screw Tampa but that series is far from done

I was a Flames fan at the time, living in the city. Me and my brother bonded over the lousy young guns more than anything else.

I don't know how it fell in their laps........nobody looked at that roster to start the year and thought 'Stanley Cup finalist'. They're a bunch of guys with something to prove, with a great goalie, a great coach that didn't even have a job, and a team that flat out just works and skates hard.
You can't overstate confidence, either. They're loaded with it.

I'm pulling for the Caps to win it all, but if Tampa ends up in the Final, I'll be cheering for Vegas for sure. As a Flames fan I'll forever hate the Bolts.

Why would that impact your respect for the NHL? After the expansion draft, it was essentially unanimous that their roster was going to struggle and it would be a while before any sort of success. It's a bit disingenuous to now complain that the draft rules were too easy or the league favored them in any way.
Sometimes things just click, and I actually like how they've built an actual team and have proven that the team is more important than the individual in the NHL.

I'd be ok with it if they were actually playing better, but the combination of: - The sheer number of bandwagon fans
- The narratives around their play that severely overstate how good they are
- The reality that more often than not they're the 2nd best team on the ice, but Fleury is carrying them
have me pretty solidly against them.

I keep hearing talking heads going on about how little home-ice means in these playoffs, and yet they all somehow continue to ignore the impressive fact that the Knights are now 6-1 in LV, with that solitary blemish occurring in double-overtime.

Loving it!
Whinnepeg is just becoming annoying at this point. Really hope Vegas ends this weekend.
Not doubt the Jets absolutely dominated parts of that game but only one thing matters and that's the final score. But that sequence before the tying goal was damn impressive.

Outclassed LA.
Didnt give an inch to SJ.
A game away from eliminating Jets who seem to only bring it when down in 3rd periods.
I dont think they are often the 2nd best. They have earned their wins. Look at Wpg and take away their PP. Without it the Jets are pretty average.
