Masoli is putting up big time yards but he makes at least two really bad decisions a game which seems to cost them. They are lucky the Eskimos did nothing offensively for 3 quarters of that game as his two interceptions were just horrible throws.

Having watched quite a few Eskimos games this season, their offense is essentially send Walker and Williams deep and have Reilly chuck it long. Now Reilly throws a fine deep ball and both those guys find ways to get open, but when they are closed down, the Eskies offense dries up.

Yeah. A few weeks ago against the Riders they did nothing offensively all game but Reilly connected on a couple of deep balls and that was enough to win the game. No team has been able to stop their deep ball passing game. Even the Stamps are probably going to give up big play TD's against them in the Labor day back to back games. The key is to limit the damage like the Ti-Cats did last night and to do that you have to get in Reilly's face and don't give him time in the pocket to wait for the long plays to develop.
In regards to their guys finding ways to get open, the Eskimos receivers have mastered the art of the subtle push off. It seems officials never call it against them as they do it all the time.

Pipkin has played much better than the other QB with less time with the team.

That’s not entirely true... pipkin was with the team last year too and appeared in a game last season. He was released in June and resigned in August.
He had all of last season on at least a practice basis. Big difference vs the other QB

Wow. There's a highlight reel catch by Shaq Evans. Reached over top of Winston Rose for a 52-yard catch.

Devin Bailey might have just one-upped Shaq Evans with a superb catch against two defenders.

Is there any generation more useless then millennials?...the selfie/social media generation that eats tide pods. I’ll watch for 2 1/2 hours for sure but no way I will watch for 3 hours. What a stupid idea.
@mattsekeres:
LeLacheur is willing to look at ways of shortening games down to 3 hours (max) or ideally 2:30, including 12-min quarters and a 12-minute halftime. #CFL #BCLions

So less football and more commercials? Lol. Great plan.
Games are too long but mostly because of commercial breaks.

It's a chicken and egg thing because the CFL needs every penny of revenue they can get so shortening games by 30 minutes probably robs TSN of valuable commercial revenue (even if it is the same four commercials over and over and over) and would be reflected on how much they would pay the CFL for the televising rights. I can argue the officiating could be cleaned up as there are far too many times the officials have to huddle up to get calls right or even figure out why a flag was thrown in the first place as well as the blown calls that call for automatic replay in the final three minutes of every half.

Tough news for the Lions.
Quote:
The BC Lions announced receiver Manny Arceneaux will be placed on the six-game injured list after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee in the team's loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders Saturday. He will miss the rest of the season.

Wow the east sucks... the ending of this Ottawa game is horrible to watch. How is Ottawa first in the east?
They get 3 Montreal penalties to save them in the last 2.5 minutes to go first and goal on the 3rd and don’t get anything.

Montreal has a good defence. Problem has been having to spend too much time on the field as noted by TSN guys.

That's an odd comment considering Saskatchewan has done nothing on offense literally
