Are people actually upset with Smoak for striking out on that pitch? That was a perfect curve on a full count - pretty tough to lay off that pitch.

It's not that it was a bad pitch, it's that is happens every time. It's inevitable, so why do you pinch hit to begin with?

Not mad at the strike out there. It's him being completely useless overall that I am upset with.

Can't blame Smoak. That's a sick pitch that you have to swing at 3-2. Great at bat, just got beat. That's baseball.
