CBC is just noticing that Hiller goes down early...
Could CBC's other programming be any worse? As an expat, the commercials for those "dramas" are cringe-worthy -- anyone actually watch that garbage?

that would be absolutely stupid
1. They are WINNING and controlling the play
2. Lose Ferland for 5 Mins
3. He probably wouldn't go anyway he is trying to get another PP

I would call it pretty even - Flames doing a lot of good things but they need to get pucks to the net. Lack of shots isn't good.

Nope, the sentence was about the Nucks. Flames are owning the puck, but unless they score it doen't mean anything. They need to put more pucks on net.
Skating around like sapzzes making low ratio passes is not going to win this game. They need to keep it simple.

CBC has had three new and absolutely stunning shots of Calgary this game. The night one from north of downtown was great as you can see the mountains in the background very clearly.
But that new one looking north towards the Calgary tower, that "blocks" the downtown core in with the condos on the right was a really cool new perspective on our downtown.
Sure beats Sportsnet's "Hey look the Bow is still under construction and it's the main focus of the shot" garbage.

Great period, BUT...still not liking the quality of chances we are producing. First line needs to be firing the puck on net more.

Absolutely. Ferland is a one man wrecking crew and the canucks are scared of him. I am loving it. Him off the ice for 5 minutes is exactly what the canucks want.

So many turnovers by the Canucks in that period that the Flames couldn't capitalize on, I could see that biting them in the ass allowing the Canucks to stick around. Jones simply has to bury that gift

Dorsett off for 5 is no hair off the Canucks ass. Him getting Ferland off for 5 mins is huge for them. Dorseet tried to goad him in to a penalty by only dropping a single glove.
