Well he could have gotten up into the elbow that was coming.

Fluke injury for Thornton though, doesn't look like much but probably just caught it in the wrong position.

The unfortunate thing is Thornton would have been fine except that he extended his knee to try and hit Subban

I see an awkward follow through on a shot coming off the boards. His leg is already dropping, and I would spin away from the boards as well.
I'm not going to fault Subban on that play at all. Just an unfortunate incident. Subban has never really struck me as the kind of player to shy away from physicality, especially at this level and intensity. Sucks for Thornton, though. A real spark plug for the Bruins.

I think the Bruins realized they just had to go out there and make the habs pay if the game was going to be dictated by the Refs.. For 50 minutes, it was.

Yeah, he completely led with his right leg. I don't know if that's natural and I've just never looked for it, but that certainly looked bad on his part in that replay.

Yeah I think that's fair. More of an awkward collision than anything.

Man, McLean's forced Canadiana is so grating.

I think the league should subtly remind him that leading body checks with your leg is frowned upon. Not a fine or anything, just a reminder. Or maybe he'll figure it out for himself since he hurt himself on the play

Could be the turning point of the series. Montreal going home up 2-0 would have been trouble for the Bruins, now a deflating 3rd period and loss to go home 1-1 isn't as appealing. Bruins needed that win, now the Habs need to find some energy at home early in game 3 to turn the momentum back their way.

It's okay folks. It's gonna be Boston's show here on out. It'll get worse before it goes away but soon we won't have to hear about Montreal somehow being Canada's team when that's complete bs.

Haven't really been following the series but surprised to see people cheering for the american team... is that Albertan hate on for Quebec or the Iggy storyline?

Luongo will probably never play in another playoff game in his career.

Iggy love, as well as a hate on for other Canadian teams. Quebec has nothing to do with it. In fact, I would say Habs rank behind Oilers, Canucks, and Leafs on my hate list.

Remember the Iggy storyline being discussed on CP? It's a pretty big deal. Surprised you haven't seen any of that, it's been discussed to death on CP.
