NJ and Detroit have their 1st round picks, LA dealt theirs to Columbus. Hope we get the pick and a good player back.

Kinda surprised the Kings would be in on a $6.68 million D-man with their cap situation next year, and with Voynov/Muzzin being RFA's and looking as good as they do.
Plus, if it's Bernier we are targeting, who would be their back-up? Can we trade MacDonald, having claimed him off waivers? I don't think we can.

If Detroit doesn't want to trade their first + for Bouwmeester then you don't trade him there. Screw Detroit.

Detroit might be the most appealing due to their many talented prospects. The guys I'd target:
G: Petr Mrazek, Jake PatersonRW: Teemu Pulkkinen, Martin Frk, Tomas JurcoLW: Gustav Nyquist, Tomas TatarC: Calle Jarnkrok

Considering our main problem this year has been defense.. why the hell are we trading away our best defenseman?

No thanks,
Let's get this team filled with quality prospect and see where we are in a couple years with the goalies we have.
If we need a Bernier type goalie then I'm sure there will be one around, there always seems to be.

Possibilities:

1. We are rebuilding, and he can bring in a nice return for the future.
2. We are rebuilding, and maybe he has asked for a trade because he doesn't want to go through that.

Pretty sure NJ doesn't have a 1st this year due to the Kovalchuk fiasco. They were given the choice to give up their 1st last season or this season, and I'm pretty sure they used their pick last season.

2011-2014

So this draft, or next.

They host the draft this year as well, something to consider.

Someone dug it up and it applies to next year as well I believe.

Because we are finally starting to look beyond our own nose, and not have the patience of a 5 year old with ADD?

Isles are not moving to Brooklyn until the 2015-2016 season.

Until then, they will continue to lose $.
