Yeah, that was dumb.
Let's see who "wins" the Friday snow forecast. Weather Network has us at 1-3cm, Accuweather going for the big 5-10cm total.

Environment Canada gets around your little game by just saying "snow".

Loving the snow. The city was so gross yesterday with rain melting the snow and turning everything into brown puddles. With more snow, it’s looking like cross-country skiing is back on the agenda for this weekend.

Yeah, waking up to this was magical. Snow is the most gorgeous thing in nature IMO.

I would be perfectly happy if it snowed a few times through the winter and it stayed through till spring...
Clear the streets and sidewalks so life can carry on and we live in a winter wonderland for a few months.
The extreme cold snaps and chinooks can F off imo...
Give me a steady -5 - 10 ish for winter.

Yeah, I don't like the Chinooks, either. Brown, soupy, nasty mess everywhere. Looks so ugly.
I do like me a good cold snap, though. I don't love going for walks, but in -30 I bundle up and do 'lake loops' around Bonavista. Something really cozy about being warm and outside when it's so freezing.

Probably because nobody but researchers, who live there temporarily at research stations, are allowed to move to Antarctica or live there.

For me the barrier for entry has always been and always will remain, the mandatory appendectomy.

Hmm, sounds like a semi-private place where people gatekeep and lord it over others. So just like Lake Bonavista?

Yeah, yeah, but if Batman has taught us anything its that you never trust Penguins! Especially ones with rockets strapped to their backs!!
You turn your back on a Penguin and they will murder you and everyone you love!!

Cross country skiing. That thing you have to do when you didn’t carry enough speed to glide back to the chair lift. My wife mentions wanting to try it occasionally, and I remind her as we’re huffing away “This is what you want to do for extended periods?!” and she’s says “Nope!”
