Wonder if Bobby Lashley makes a surprise AEW debut? Or even a TNA deal.
Ya I wonder if they do a Hurt Business gimmick. Apparently some trademarks were registered but they could be in a few places. Maybe Lashley shows up at Dynamite 5 year anniversary, or Shane McMahon. Weird to think of the latter, but it's wrestling so you just don't know.
At his peak Sid probably had one of the best looks in wrestling. I remember thinking he was somehow completely terrifying, and also the coolest person ever at the same time when he was in his prime in that fued against Bret/Shawn/Taker in WWF.
The Following User Says Thank You to SuperMatt18 For This Useful Post:
Psycho Sid was one of the most memorable big men in wrestling, he was better as a heel then as a face. But just his entrance alone set the hair on the back of your next stand up.
He also had some of the most ludicris moments in wrestling. His promo's in the end days of WCW were hilariously strange. I still remember when they did that stupid bash on the beach and Sid trying to be threatening while wearing flip flops with his wrestling gear. He also was the guy who didn't even bother to control himself when the Shock Master made his debut.
supposedly outside of the scissor incident with Arn Anderson, Sid was a good guy behind the scenes, but was wildly unpredictable as his love for softball was greater then his love for wrestling.
He also had one of the best entrance themes in the day when WWE was just right on wrestling themes.

I see Ricochet is taking advice from his new boss responding to marks on Twitter... Although the backhanded shots he took at Kyle Fletcher were weird. Let's see if you do anything to boost Dynamite's ratings before you start talking smack.
Great Raw tonight. I think the atmosphere is helping. Even Karion Kross is finally getting heat, I never thought that would happen! Loved that Drew wore Sid's iconic vest. The opener was excellent, as was Strowman/Reed. It's awesome to see Dunne get a bit of a push.
The Orton promo was one of his best. It's hard not to respect him for what he's gone through. You could easily argue Randy is the greatest of all time. Has anyone else been at the top for over two decades (without any kind of sustained break)? Orton should be the one to break Flair's record, not Cena. They could even book that match during Cena's retirement tour. Orton vs. Cena for that 17th title. Orton needs two more title wins to get there. That could very well be Cena's final match imo.
All this long term story building is really paying dividends on Raw. I actually think Smackdown is the "lesser" of the two brands again. They really need Roman back, and to keep pushing the Bloodline story. Solo on his own just isn't enough.

He'll finish in WWE. I'd put dollars to donuts. His (huge) son wants to be a wrestler and the PC is going to be the absolute best place to get trained.
Pretty meh Dynamite, which is disappointing coming off of a great PPV. Ricochet vs. Fletcher delivered, and I'm pumped for the next round of Swerve/Hangman and Garcia/MJF, but the rest was pretty flat for me.
Okada continues to look like an absolute clown. Apparently a lot of this is stuff he wants to do, but that's the problem with this company. Nobody steps in and goes "No, that's a bad idea."
Jericho continues to drag everything and everyone down with him.
Less than 2k fans in attendance tonight. Yikes... Things are bleak if that's all you can draw coming off their biggest show of the year. No wonder the crowd was so silent ... Even for MJF!

I still think a big problem for this is AEW's promotional and social media team. WWE does a great job of uploading their weekly shows into digestible YouTube content. You really have to dig to find coherent AEW content on YouTube.
You're absolutely right Okada, and their failure to use him properly. Why not slide him into face Danielson, that's a feud everyone would get on board with. Maybe that will happen in the future, but Danielson only has so much time on his hands... Yet they're going with Jack Perry as his first challenger? I guess it'll only be a short program for All Out, but Perry isn't over with the crowd. He's fine in the midcard, but he's not main event material (at least not yet).
Another problem is still the overabundance of titles on that roster. It's silly that Okada, Ospreay, Briscoe, and at one point Mox (and MJF) had a midcard title. All four could be challenging Danielson, yet instead they're fighting over secondary belts. I know TK is wanting to get other belts over, but this is just silly. You rarely see main eventers in WWE challenge for secondary titles. It just doesn't fit the concept of what a main eventer strives to be. It's also (generally) ridiculous to have a title holder challenge for another title, but on AEW it's commonplace. Like Briscoe is someone they could push, yet he is always carrying that RoH Title which if anything holds him back.
AEW has the roster (and budget) in place to do better. It's that booking that seemingly forever holds them back. Anytime they gain momentum it's seemingly gone the week after.

Champaign is not a reliable market, especially in proximity to a large metro area that was over-squeezed for a while. Only die hards travel two hours from a market like that. I think www is in Chicago next week too?
Should have stayed in the UK for a few weeks. I thought the show was fine. Not their best, but sufficient.
I'll be honest I'm not sure I love them going to Swerve vs Hangman now.
They seemed to be keeping them apart from a singles match while Swerve was champion, and I thought the plan would be to build to a big singles match for the title for Hangman to finally get his revenge.
But that didn't really happen due to the Danielson storyline, and now instead it feels like we are getting a short build cage match. Which I guess makes some sense to go to an established fued after All In with the short build.
It could still happen eventually (Swerve vs Hangman here, Swerve wins clean, wins the title back at WrestleDream, then eventually get the payoff with Hangman winning the title off Swerve) but I'm not sure I have faith in TK booking that long term.
TK also said it's the culmination of their fued when he posted on Twitter but I really hope they don't see this as the "payoff"

I was really hoping Jay White would be cleared and he'd be Danielson's opponent. A White/Danielson feud would have been awesome, and I don't think one that has been done yet.
Man, does AEW miss Omega. Hell, I miss Omega. I hope he comes back and wrestles again soon.
They could have Take vs Danielson. I'd be in for that! Rather than have Take working meaningless dark matches.
Rumors that Moxley's promo is a way for Shane McMahon to be introduced to the company. Sort of like an invasion angle with Moxley and team McMahon vs AEW. I could see that happening... Ex-WWE guys joining with Shane. I just don't know how the angle would make a lick of sense... You can't do an "invasion" angle without having brand new talent involved.
