Guess that fits your bill then.

Congrats to the Rockets(Backlund/Grantham). I was hoping the Hitmen would at least tie the series and have a game 7. Wanted to see one more game live. Although I am happy the Rockets won, so despite no game 7, things worked out.

A case of little too late. Hitmen warmed up only after game 3.

Still a very good season when no one expected them to be anywhere close to where they finished. Congrats Hitmen on a great season.

Congrats to Rockets for advancing to the Memorial Cup.

The Memorial will have some top notch Flames Flavor to it. Greg Nemisz, Mickeal Backlund and Riley Grantham.

I'd be happy if Windsor or Kelowna wins. Would like Backlund win a Championship before turning pro but wouldn't mind seeing a Memorial Cup Tribute to Mickey Renaud either.

Go Flames Go Spitfires Go Rockets Go Backlund Go Nemisz Go Grantham

When the Hitmen went down 3-0 in the series, I figured it was over. It would have been uber nice to have seen them come from behind and win the whole thing in 7, but it wasn't meant to be. Still, a damn good season for the Hitmen, when hardly anybody expected them to have had this great of a season. Here's hoping for another repeat season next year, only this time with a Memorial Cup victory as the end result.

As for the Rockets, I'll be rooting for them to win the Memorial Cup, only because of Backlund. I'd love to see him win a championship before turning pro.

Wow, totally surprising... Moon is here to try and trivialize the Hitmen's accomplishments again!

As far as Glassman goes, I doubt he's ever seen a Rockets game in his life. Prolly just some Canucks troll looking for a reaction.

Trivialize their accomplishments??

I said they had a great season. How the hell is that trivializing what they did?

Did they not finish 3 points ahead of the Giants? Do you really think that Kelowna wasn't a completely different team (one that put up a better record than the Hitmen) after the Trade Deadline acquisitions.

If it is so trivial just point out what was wrong or biased in what I said.

Same garbage you've been posting all season. Every time someone tries to bring up how good the Hitmen were, you're right there saying "they aren't so good... this team was better." It got old three months ago.

The fact that they didn't show up for the first 3 games is a choke job in my view. Playing 20 minutes here and there instead of a full 60 minutes isn't going to win you any hockey games.

I have season tickets for the Rockets, went to the playoff games, and the Canucks suck, I think they play dirty as well I am a flames fan with friends in the flames organization. I liked the play of most of the hitmen. I don't like dirty head shots or whiney coaches, and inconsistant reffs.

People were trying to point out that they were dominant and I was pointing out that there were two teams that were arguably as good as they were.
I also never said that other teams were better just that the Rockets had a better record since making some big acquisitions and the Giants had a similarly great season.

Keep being overly defensive about the Hitmen and making up arguments if it makes getting over the loss easier.

As I pointed out I said they had a great season. Sorry I don't blindly support the notion that they were some dominant team that should have had the Memorial Cup handed to them in March.

The Canes have been busy, they decided not renew Dyck's contract and today they have fired Stasiuk. There is speculation that Rich Sutter maybe the new man in charge.

THe bolded part is graet news.

Every indication was that he was mean, jerk that couldn't stop from interfering with the coaches and a guy who the players hated.

If the team could just sell to a private owner that would be best but saving that getting rid of Rodeo Roy is the next best thing.

Dyck was okay so I am 50/50 on his leaving and it is tough to judge him based on rumours of management coaching from above and forcing his hand, but there were some bad coaching decisions regardless of who was making them.

It sucks to start over again from a management perspective but this was 100% needed.

^^I was reading an article that was basically an interview with Sutter, he basically said the Roy wouldn't even let Dyck determine the daily lineup for the Canes. And thats why Sutter was brought in, to help fix the problems between the coaches and management.

Yeah you are right. The Hitmen are not good. They are horrible. They did not have the best regular season record or win 12 straight games in the playoffs in a year that was supposed to be a rebuilding year.

Congrats to the Rockets, a very good team with strong goaltending and awesome physical play and I hope they do well in the Memorial Cup but the fact that you can sit there and say the Hitmen suck bad shows how little you know about hockey. The Hitmen did dominate the Rockets 6-1 and looked very poised to take game 6 until somewhere along the line the Hitmen stopped skating and hitting. Clearly the Hitmen did not suck.

The fact that Glassman likes the Rockets will not stop me from cheering for them at the Memorial Cup. It should, but it won't.

Nor did they have a stretch of outscoring the Rockets 11-1.

The Rockets to me are built for a seven game series, not for a one off tournament, so I don't believe they will make any noise at the mem cup.
