I wonder if all the negative ads hurt the party.

You seem nice. Let’s see your picture since you can comment on looks.
You appear to be like those Oiler fans who only show up after a win.

I don't know if that will be the case. I think this was similar to 2015 protest election. People that normally voted blue went ndp. Don't know if you can count on that again unless the ucp are a shart show (which is more than plausible).

The NDP lost because every single voter for the UCP is a ####ing moron. How does changing the leader change this?
With the damage the UCP will do to this province the voters will only get dumber, a new leader doesn’t fix that.

The numbers outside of Calgary and Edmonton make it nearly impossible for the NDP to win it seems. Absolutely landslide with the exception of Lethbridge

So an MLA who compared trans children to feces gets one of the highest vote percentages in the province.
Disgraceful.

The arrogance of individuals (on both sides) irks me. This is a democracy. Your neighbour votes, you vote - your opinion is worth no more than theirs.
To slag others for their vote is not in the spirit of democracy. You voted for your interests, they voted for theirs.
You are not the centre of the universe.

I think they do. But Again, I think it's still very possible both parties have 40something seats, and it really changes the UPCs ability govern.

Hard to see how this prediction is anything but a remote possibility at this point. If the NDP were going to win or if it were to be that close there’s a bunch of things that would need to be happening that are not. Banff-Kananaskis, Edmonton Donut, literally all of Calgary would all have to be orange. This is probably exactly as Danielle Smith drew it up after winning her leadership = biggest risk of losing an election in Alberta as the UCP is to piss off the rural folk into forming a new party. That’s how she ran it, scared off about 7-8% of the vote in Calgary but ultimately will win.
