If Wolf played 10 games for the Flames, this could be the same script for them. The entire tenor of the organization would be 100% different.

It is but Ullmark looks rattled. Atleast Swayman has playoff experience so there's that.

It's gotta be tough coming in cold for a game 7 though. Really tough choice.

First for all, I died three times in that period.

Secondly, I watched that game with somebody be new to hockey and I think I just converted him.

I think you’ve got to roll with Ullmark. Unless he has a bad 1st period next game I think he’s the guy to go to.

Wow, wow. What a game. Mixed feelings about tkachuk success, but love FLA’s never quit attitude.

On the other hand Boston saved us all from a Canucks cup in 2011, so always have a place in my heart.

Definitely rattled and without actually knowing Ullmark it is tough to make a call as an armchair coach. If he has the capacity to put it behind him and bounce back it probably makes sense to stick with him. But if the headspace is not right than it makes it easier to go with Swayman.

Nothing at all against Barkov, but you have to wonder if they move the C this offseason.

My problem with tkachuk wearing the C in Calgary were his antics. One minute he’d talk like captain accountable, the next min he’d be drawn off his game when muzzin flipped a puck at him, or klingberg got at him. And this hot mic business calling a guy’s wife a w**re? He should get his ass whooped for that.
IMO a captain should be better than that. FLA can do whatever they want, but that’s an issue for me. I wouldn’t follow a captain who acts like a degen.
Edit: but should be said he is obviously playing like an MVP.

I agree that Wolf could have made a difference, but, there is not one player on the Flames that can carry the team on his back to victory. That is an essential player they have and is not on this roster.

Unless you were hoping Wolf to be that guy.

So..... looks like Markstrom suited up for Boston in game 5 OT and game 6.

Bruins in all kinds of trouble suddenly.

I'm genuinely speechless.

Said this earlier but that was some coach Q hockey in the third period. That team never quit or stopped believing they could come back and win. First time I've seen it this season, maybe Maurice hasn't ruined everything after all.

Hard to say looking from the outside but I would be inclined to make a switch. Swayman isn’t some garbage backup, he started 33 games this year and has played well. They can live and die by Ullmark but if he falters again you’ll have the rest of the off-season to think about how you didn’t even give Swayman a chance.

For years Flames fans moaned about not having an elite talent. We needed Stone. We needed Eichel.

We had Tkachuk. (Gaudreau, too).
Tkachuk is in a very small group of players right now that can move the needle in the realm of McDavid. A very small group.

This has been so incredible to watch. Regardless of what happens in game 7, the Panthers made a franchise changing trade. They should really focus on shoring up defence in the off season and they could be even more dangerous.
