Here’s one. Game 5. Series tied. Overtime. The captain is apparently the fastest skater ever and the crossovers…. He could have back checked or disrupted or anything more than he did. Instead, he gives it the old 1 half stride at the blue line and the rest is coasting. “Defence to blame.”
Playoff hockey can be a battle of attrition. As someone else posted, how is Mavi a leader? Do as I say not as I do?
I’m expecting Darnell nurse type minutes tonight. I wouldn’t be surprised if we added both of their ice times tonight that it isn’t greater than 60 minutes.
Oh yeah…go kings go!

The difference between him and Crosby is striking.

If you were going to reunite those two then why would you telegraph it. Tell them in the morning and walk out your usual lines. Not like they don’t play together all the time already. Make them adjust on the second shift.

Other than Kane, there's really no other major threat on that roster. Just limit the McDrai line, keep it 5 on 5 as much as possible, and this series is over tonight.

Wait for it. They’ve got a secret plan. Draisaitl-McDavid-Yamamoto will be the 4th line tonight. They’ll never expect that!

I think Kings HC knows Oilers are going to reunite the twins even if they don't "telegraph"it. I think pretty much everyone including my neighbor's dog knows and expects that will happen.

I hope he’s traded to NYR for Adam Fox.
God that would be sweet…

Yes… I hate when people call Mcdavid the best player in the game. He’s the best skater … going 1 direction

I’m just waiting for debrusk to say “we” and “us”. It’s really the only thing missing.

I haven't been watching the game super closely, but I just caught the panel replaying that RNH cross-checking penalty. That legitimately may be the most egregious dive I've ever seen.
Edmonton is no good and all, but that dive by LA was comical.

Given how one dimensional this Oilers team has looked I don't know if a BOA would be as glorious as these media guys are hoping/imagining it might be.
Flames have been engaged in very different hockey than the Oil for the last week and a half. Much stingier and playoff-like. Should they pull it off, Dallas looks to have been the perfect first round opponent to get the Flames into their "grind it out" groove/mode that they needed to get into.

this isn't actually the worst thing because after the Flames win tonight, they get to rest and watch their next opponent fight it out in a game 7.

If the Flames can finish off the Stars, the Kings will be much easier to handle compared to the Oilers in the 2nd round. Almost would seem unfair that the Avs have to play the Blues and the Flames would get to play the Kings.

I think they would have swept the Kings in round one just the same.

I said after Game 2 -- if it can't be a Kings sweep, then I hope it goes seven.
Now we just need the good guys to win -- with Game 7 in Edmonton and Nurse back in the lineup, LA has them right where they want them.
