There was a report there are multiple teams interested in Hathaway. Likely a bidding war of some sorts going on.

I hope the Flames reel in....wait for it.....
Ryan Hartman and Valeri Nichushkin!
Two RWs on the cheap. One reclamation project and one gritty RW who I think has 2nd line potential in Hartman.
Also, maybe try to trade for Calle Jankrok from NSH. I'm sure hed love playing hockey with his cousin if all else fails.

Immediate cap trouble? The teams with cap problems are just like the Flames. Needing to clear cap space to sign their RFA’s and plug holes on their roster.

Of course there is. Any team that scouted the Flames last year would have a green checkmark beside his name. Hathaways game makes it impossible not to notice him.
Still holding out hope the Flames are able to sign him.

Hathaway's from nearby Maine and plays the prototypical Boston Bruins style of game. Not sure what their cap situation is, but it'd be a natural fit.
