I just can't believe how weak Bouwmeester looks anytime I watch him. He can't shoot can't shoot the puck in with any semblance of hockey IQ and just looks lost in front of the net.
When will these clowns learn not to do the "I did this all by myself" celebration?
Kane is impossible to like, for many reasons. What a dickhead.
Yeah heaven forbid a player celebrate a big overtime goal. I guess you think Fleury is a clown for his famous OT goal celebration in 1991. You don't like the guy therefore you reach for anything he does that that fits your narrative just like many are doing with Bouwmeester.

He's just not someone you win with.
That's surprising? Dude is one of the biggest in the league. Guy is softer than silk. Did he ever get involved in one scrum or send any type of message if guys were running the goalie? He's the opposite of a playoff performer.

The Bouwmeester hate is a little over the top. I'm not his biggest fan as to me his sum has always been less than his parts but he's still one of the better defensemen in this league. Brodie and Gio at times this season looked much worse than he looked last night. Much, much worse.

He made some incredible breakout passes in the OT as well as in the neutral zone leading to scoring chances. He is soft but is a smart and skilled dman.

Honestly if you know you have or dislike a player you are better off just not commenting on him....the last two pages are whining about Bouwmeester and Kane and in both cases it is pretty ridiculous.

And they were called out for those games, what exactly is your point?

Ummm....that your criticism of Bouwmeester is over the top.

Oh sweet, he can win with a bunch of super stars on his team. You sure showed me.
Enough of this irrational hate.
Bouwmeester has Tarasenko, Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk, Stastny, Berglund, Lehtera, and Steen with him on the Blues, and before you contradict me, all of those players played in the 2014 Olympics.

Ok and? That just proves my point. He's a nice complimentary piece but should never be the main piece on any team. Fits well on a stacked team, folds under pressure, and his entire career has shown that,

He fits in well on stacked teams, like the Blues — yet, he folds under pressure with said stacked teams? Then explain the Olympics!
Bouwmeester isn’t even the second-best defenseman on his team — he’s a complimentary piece. But you seem to be suggesting that he’s the Blues’ main star who they should depend on, when that’s far from the truth.

I don't get the issue here.... Bouwmeester has only played 14 seasons in the NHL, only 990 regular season games (more than anyone else in the 2002 draft, where he went 3rd overall), only went to 3 world juniors, and only represented Canada internationally a few other times in the world championships, world Cup, and olympics. He's only 10th in scoring for the 2002 draft class, and 2nd for D (behind Keith).
Obviously there just hasn't been a large enough sample size for managers and coaches to evaluate him as well as some fans. They'll see soon enough that he's a useless bum.
