Meh. Inexperienced pitcher, poor catcher, high leverage situation on the road.
Not surprised. Good news is Osuna and Cecil are fresh, Orioles used their big guns.
Advantage Jays for tomorrow's game as far as bullpens go.

"Useless count" is not the word I'm looking to text right now to my buddy about Thole. Siri should know this by now it's been 3 years.

Oh well. If the Jays can start cashing in some runs (looks to be coming), we'll be winning all these games. First month schedule is nasty and AL East intensive. Coming out if it with a .500 record or a little better isn't all that bad. Things could be a lot worse given the schedule.

What did Thole exactly do? I only watched the first inning and expected the score to be much higher than it was.

bases loaded tie game bottom of the 10th, 2-1 fastball and he misses it letting it get to the backstop. note it was not in the dirt, he just missed the fastball he called.

Chalk another loss to the trick pitcher and his caddy. I get that he "tosses" 200 innings but having to carry the dead weight that is his back catcher almost makes that a moot point.
Another day away and that trade with the Mets just keeps getting worse.

Not a Jays fan, but brutal way to lose... Carrying Thole around is such a waste for the team, but I understand why it's needed

The Dickey hate gets annoying. I understand that the trade looks bad in hindsight, but the guy has had three straight seasons with the Jays of double digit wins and 200+ innings. He's been very solid for us.

Dickey's Knuckler sucks in colder weather as well, with it being April, it makes sense that he is struggling, like he does pretty much every year at this time. Last year after the deadline he was pretty much lights out.

More on the bats for not capitalizing as they had lots of opportunity. Only went 2 for 12 with RISP, left 10 on base, and we hit into 3 double plays. Dickey game a quality start with 3 runs over 6 innings, and the bullpen gave us 3 shutout innings before giving it up in the 10th. Hard to blame pitching there.
Win the series today and head back home to finally start playing some non-AL East teams.

Frustrating to see Martin get hit by a pitch there as Smoak is the easier out.

Smoak gets a 1-0 fastball down the middle and misses it. Won't see many better pitches to hit then that one. At least draws a walk in the end. 2-0 Jays.

Nice 2-0 start for the Jays. Tillman is probably on a short leash. They should be able to get in the bullpen early if they keep it up.
