Nestor made $12.2 M since turning pro in 1991.
EDIT: some of that was earned in singles too.
With the inflation of prizes since then, you could do very well as a doubles specialist.

Does that include endorsements or just tournament winnings?

Genie saved 9 break points in the win. Good to see resilience like that from her.

That's a nice (and much needed for the confidence) win by Vasek, Pouille is an up-and-coming young player.

I was looking up some results and there's an interesting Canadian named Steven Diez
http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/playe...ings-breakdown
Other than being born in Toronto he is Spanish, lives and plays in Spain but represents Canada. Plays nothing but clay court futures events. Looking at the breakdown he has 4 wins, 2 finals and 5 semifinals in his best 18 tournaments. That only gets him to 333 in the world. If one were to win 18 futures tournaments that would get him to 150 in the world.
Last year he qualified for a Challenger then lost in the first round, still got him 5 points. That's it.
I wonder how one can scrape a living playing exclusively at such a low level. The winner of these tournament makes like $7000. He's 24 and probably content with the level he's playing. He's the 4th seed in Spain F5 this week.

Sounds like Kerber is up next? Nice to see Genie winning those tiebreaks.
Canada's Davis Cup team versus France should be announced shortly. Curious to see if Milos will be there, given his injury.

Haha, well the team was just named two minutes after I posted my earlier message:
http://www.tenniscanada.com/star-stu...ada-and-france
Dancevic, Nestor, Pospisil and Raonic set to represent Canada; Gasquet, Monfils, Simon and Tsonga to play for France
Boy, France is stacked.

and it's on clay.
France is stacked but really only 2 guys can play. And their doubles team isn't as good as before now that Llodra has retired.

I forget her name - some head of Tennis Canada was on TV the other day summarizing recent Canadian tennis exploits, and she basically predicted that Felix will be a World #1 one day.

Wasn't Peliwo also a stud in junior tennis?
I won't get excited until he starts winning against men.

Felix is almost universally recognized as the top young talent in tennis. Not sure any Canadian has ever had that title at all. He's got the potential to be very special, certainly has a much higher ceiling than either Milos or Genie. Future #1 is probably underselling him too, he's got the potential to be a multiple major champion and not just be #1. Remember he still has 8-10 years before he even hits his prime. Very bright future for him.
